    Yeah the beak is a little silly. I can't say I really can't get behind "It's for the Alliance so lets shit eagles all over it," that seems to happen.

    It comes down to this- If you are a prot warrior, would you prefer if your shoulders looked different from horde's or from that blood death knight's and that ret paladin's

    To me, the answer is obvious, if it's not obvious to you I have no argument with you because I have no idea where you're coming from

    I've done my best to thoroughly illustrate my stance on this subject

    I agree that the looks of these aren't as good as alot of the other sets, but there'll be people out there who prefer these sets. Some people think the Judgement armor was ugly.

    But what I'm trying to say is there is always a reason (usually it's the source) for the tier (and PVP) armors design direction in this game and I bet it's never been laziness.

    Honestly, were it not for the beak, I could get behind that set I think (for the rogues at least) now that I look at it. It does indeed have a very Altair from Assassin's Creed vibe.

    The way it is, though, you run into the same situation that I've spoken a bit about before: sharing models with some classes can cause some thematically odd combinations. In the case of the rogue/druid thing, you end up with either druid armor that looks too rogue-y (Horde) or rogue armor that looks too druid-esque (Alliance).

    Meh, oh well.

    Sorry, I'm late to the "Blizzard is lazy because I don't know anything about game development timeframes and workload plus I'm entitled to the very best because I pay 15 dollars a month so I'll call them lazy because I don't like what they're doing" party, but take note they've made more sets of armor each tier in WotLK than any of the games before: 10 PvP sets and 10 (only 8 this time) PvE sets. Each tier in Vanilla had 9 except for AQ which had 4, and each tier in TBC had 9, copied over to PvP.

    My lazy statement came from my failure to note that the biggest difference between earlier sets and this set is that they are differentiating models between horde and alliance rather than distinguishing between classes. They're doing about the same amount of work, i see that now.

    Although I feel that this makes raiding aesthetically less interesting, and cheapens the armor itself for all the reasons stated in prior posts, I have since recanted my lazy statement

    Plus i never claimed entitlement, I just *expect* quality from blizzard, and it is completely within my rights to have distaste for a tier

    I dislike the cloth model, and for warlocks, I dislike the coloring.

    The horde one looks a little funny, but I think it's because of huge orc shoulder syndrome.

    Edit: Although, looking at it more. The alliance warlock has funny colors, and the horde mage has funny colors, so it varies I guess.

    Something being high quality and you LIKING that same thing are entirely different concepts.

    Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't high quality.

    I've said this a few times but i guess i'll say it again

    I don't particularly dislike the armor models themselves, I think they're ok, I like the textures, and although i feel that some of the armor is overall uninspired, and some of it doesn't quite fit, I don't think it's terrible

    what i'm referring to is the fact that the raider will only see 4 models versus the 10 models we've come to expect

    i understand that there will be another 4 models floating around in some horde raid but that does naught to warm my heart

    I don't really care what everyone looks like in a raid because I'm not looking at them. I'm either tanking the boss, or healing the bars. Neither of which requires me to stare at the Mage in T7 or the DK in his quest greens.

    Running around Dalaran or a city with an AH? I check out whoever I want and see their cool armor.

    I havent seen anything outside of boss crotch since I started raiding so I can't say I've ever been too bothered about what my guildies look like.

    Has anyone here ever gotten the achievement Rapid Defense? I've been trying to ages but I just can't seem to do it. :(

    If not earlier, aye. Frankly I don't know how they'd even have a year's worth of content left in this expansion, unless they pull another Sunwell on us which I think they'd said they didn't want to do. Doesn't mean it won't happen, though.

    let me just ask this though, what do you like more, the tier 8 concept of each class having its own defined gear (10 sets) or this tier where you distinguish between armor type (cloth, leather, mail, plate) and faction (8 sets)?

    Yeah, if I had to guess I'd imagine we'll see Icecrown between 12/09 and 2/10. Still, I don't see that carrying us all the way to the next expansion unless the expansion's closer than we think or Icecrown has a TON of content (as in, more than was in 3.1).

    Both races aren't even labeled as Alliance or Horde. Small chance that Male/Female Worgen models are being made for ... some stupid reason? Maybe because lolhalloween WEREWOLFS! OH NOES!
