While the majority of goblins have opted to stay neutral, there's always the chance that the Trade Prince who opted to support the Horde in the Second War will, for some reason, decide to go back to exclusively catering to the Horde. WoWWiki says this is Steamwheedle, but I doubt they'd turn an old faction hostile for the Alliance.
Goblins will definitely get an engineering racial and probably a 5% discount off vendors.
I feel it worth mentioning that Tauren can tame animals that regularly eat cows, so giving the hunter class to a race based off an actual predator isn't that wacky.
Wasn't there something recently where hunters could have worgens as pets, but then bliz took that out or something?
Just found that a little odd.
Edit: Nevermind. I just read up on what that was about and it wasn't anything Bliz intentionally put in, just a way some people found out to do it that I assume had been possible since Wotlk.
I bet Goblins will be everywhere just as Blood Elves dominated the world when BC came out. I always wanted to be a goblin since this first time I set foot in BB and saw one.
While I almost HATE to say it... a class that could had a permanent mechanical as a pet would be pretty awesome... though I fear to add another pet class. Maybe that would just be one tree. But I fear they're more likely to add a healing/dps hybrid class next, so the tinkerer is likely out.
edit: or the horde version could be more like the WC3 tinkerer with an enslaved Ogre to ride around on... as that theme fits well with the current horde.
I don't think they are going to add another race to play in the game after the blood elf/draenei problem

Okay, I'll hop on board.
Goblins and Worgen are new races. Now then. What classes are available for them? Or are they, perhaps, classes of their own? Hero classes that is. Goblins a ranged support class, Worgen a melee class perhaps?
And if they're just out and out new races, classes for them would be what? Warrior for both? No casters for goblins, because that's not what they do. Goblins would likely be warriors, hunters, rogues, and I guess death knights. Maybe warlock just to balance it out? Worgen? Warriors, hunters, priests, rogues, death knights...
They're likely hero classes, specifically limited to those races. The Goblin Tinkerer is probably it for one.

Anyway, as for classes: whichever of them is going Alliance will have Warlocks. I'm 100% sure about this. Right now the only Alliance Warlocks are humans and gnomes, they will add a new Warlock race.

Aside from the goblin in Durotar, how many goblins have you seen practicing any form of magic whatsoever? And worgen, the most they've done is cast shadow spells, but not all out warlocking.
I could see both Worgen and Goblins being shaman personally. The Worgen seem obvious for that, and Goblins actually have a shamanistic past according to their lore on WoWWiki.

If the goblins are able to be shaman, I would fucking quit. And I'd do it because it'd be a fucking STRETCH of a reason. I realize we haven't seen undermine, but even at the time of the War of the Ancients goblins are portrayed as being more tech-saavy, what with them encasing Deathwing in his armor and all.

Yeah, but the Worgen got roots in the whole shadow magic/Arugal business, so it's not a huge stretch.

That would be kind of... a silly reason to quit. It is not a stretch since the lore of them having been shamanistic Isn't really new.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Worgen and Goblins couldnt be death knights.
It wouldn't really fit the lore... especially if the Worgen are from Gilneas and were shut away from the world for so long. The same with the Goblins if they are coming from Undermine. You also wouldnt have the problem of having all the first level 90 Worgen/Goblins be DKs.
I don't see Goblins as shaman. I COULD see them as Paladins though. And I could see the Worgen as Shaman.

Henroid Quit #384
Yeah my previous quit didn't last so long did it?
I guess it'd be the first time I'd be mad at Blizzard regarding the handling of their lore. The draenei thing didn't bother me one bit.

Look if a fucking GNOME can be a goddamn death knight any race can be anything.
"Hi I'm the Lich King extremely evil bastard and I need dark champions to be part of an elite army to destroy Azeroth."
"How about that midget corpse over there sir?"
"It's puny, has neon-colored hair, and looks like a fucking child. Menacing indeed!"
Then again gnome warriors and spaceships and motorcycles, so I don't see what they could possibly do now to make you say 'okay THIS is the last straw'.
I don't know how anyone could think they'd add two unique race-specific classes after the balance nightmare that was ONE new class or paladins and shamans being faction-specific.
I needed anime to post. on

Draenei death knights make the least sense of all of them
Not necessarily. The scourge presence in the plaguelands has been ever-present. You know how those crazy anchorites get. Gotta go fight the undead in the name of the light! Oops you died, now the Lich King will have you!

Race specific doesn't have to mean alliance / horde specific... which would be goofy to implement.
Draenei death knights make the least sense of all of them
But honestly, the eyes on the worgen masks seem to look more like regular textures painted on the models then the normal eyes on players that are seperate parts over blank pupils.

It just looks like the work of some of the texture artists who worked on WoTLK.
Also I don't think anyone is saying those are the final and only textures if they were the new races. Just masks.
In fact I kinda fail to see what started the conversation in the first place. Those are masks for Halloween, correct? So where is the logical jump made that they are going to be new races?

The guy who posted the image in the first place here and the guy on MMO champ?

Can you not read the last... two pages? I know its a lot, but hey, you might find the information you are looking for. Reading. ITS CRAZY.
Forsaken. The Re-Un-Dead? Un-Un-Dead? Maybe Re-Un-Undead... hmmm...
I think the balance would have been just fine if they had NOT had Draenei and Forsaken DKs. It's not a horrible complaint though, just something minor that would have made sense to me if they had done it that way.
And gnome warriors make as much sense as any other race/class being a warrior. If a tiny broken form of a half-rotting human can 'tank' a dragon (actually, ANY player race tanking these 50+ ft-tall bosses), a gnome doesn't require you to suspend your disbelief much at all. As dps, a gnome warrior makes plenty of sense... as dps warriors are just glorified lumberjacks hacking at the ankles of monsters.

Thanks for the douchey non-answer, but I did read. Maybe, because 99% of what has been on the last couple of pages has been nothing but theorizing, I missed it.

Hopefully they end up being free although I could see them charging $25 per slot or something. :?

the goblins would just be a particular trade prince who decides to offer permanent services to the horde
really the why is not the issue here.
Well, the goblins have worked with the Horde before. Although they did so under the condition of being subjegated by them.
As for the Worgen, the speculation is that Gilneas is full of 'em now. Only... Gilneas wanted to stay separate from the Alliance so... yeah.
Thanks for the douchey non-answer, but I did read. Maybe, because 99% of what has been on the last couple of pages has been nothing but theorizing, I missed it.
The issue is Gilneas built the wall to display not wanting to have anything to do with the Alliance.
