I sent an e-mail, but I have only received the standard no-reply "we have received your e-mail". Any advise? Is the billing/account department the right place to call?
make sure that the emails are from blizzard, and are not just an email titled [email protected]
second, calling billing and accounting will definitely be your best bet. they are swift and efficient on the phone, i would be persistent with that
if you find that your belongings have been taken after you reenter game, message a GM immediately referring to specific toons, realm, times, and anything lost you can find. Billing and accounting doesn't deal with stolen goods, only the GM does.

This basically happened to me also, I went to resub after a few months of being away and found that my account had been merged with a battle.net account that was not my own. As said above, calling billing is for sure your best bet. Within 2 weeks I had my account and all my missing stuff back

Details: Character was found to be using a Third-Party application that allowed him/her to make movements that are not possible through the standard game-client.
So, now I kinda know whats up. I still can't talk to anyone. This is the only e-mail I've received.
So with 3.2 and the ability to gain [Emblems of Conquest] from all the Heroic dungeons and raids.

I honestly don't know. My account was cleaned out except for my current gear on my Paladin, who was used to farm gold for months, I'm guessing. When I logged back into my account, before they rolled back my character I had the achievement for looting like 15,000 gold or something. I got like a month of free play time though, cause whoever hacked me had paid up until mid July
Everywhere that used to drop a Hemblem or a Vemblem will drop a Cemblem.
The daily heroic will award two Temblems.

And that's if you can even get into the 5 person dungeons. I hope they fix that instance cap issue soon, otherwise running heroics is pretty much not going to happen on my server.

That, and the gear isn't that big of a change. Going from naxx 25 gear to just emblem of conquest gear, you're only gaining a few items. From a caster perspective, the pants are only a marginal upgrade over the ones off KT. Other than that, you're only picking up 2 pieces of T8, gloves, and easier access to the crafted belts. By the time I had all the badge gear I wanted I had only gained around 300 dps and actually lost some hp and mana. Most of that 300 was from my set bonus, and a chunk of it was from ulduar drops.
It's going to help ease the shift for guilds that are just pushing from Naxx into Ulduar and shorten the upgrade cycle for guilds that are just forming up and starting in Naxx now, but it's not enough to catapult anyone forward through content. The only thing in BC that really did that was attunement removal and the big 3.0 nerf. Guilds that have been stalled out at the gates of ulduar since 3.1 aren't running into gear issues.

Has anyone here done any of the new 5 or 10 man content on the PTR? Is it doable with mostly Naxx/some Ulduar gear or is it 'full T8 or gtfo'?
Did some of it when it was first opened up. I was in full t8 so it's hard to say, but it was borderline trivial in that gear, we only died when we did something wrong. It's only itemlevel 213, so heroic/naxx10 should be entirely sufficient.

Excellent, that's encouraging. We're only doing Uld-10 (well, the group I'm in is, the guild's doing 25s) and a lot of the gear dropping there is horribly stat-budgeted (at least the bosses we've been able to down), so it's mostly a sidegrade at best. Both my main and raiding alt are still wearing rep-gained boots for christ's sake. Hopefully we can get some better gear out of this coliseum and grease the wheels in Uld-10 a bit.

A guy in my guild got hacked a couple weeks ago. For some reason, the guy who hacked his account, in addition to sharding all his equipment, deposited the 8k gold the guy had (of his own money) into our gbank. o_O
or GM saw that and pulled the cash so it wouldn't get repaired from or anything since he knew the guy wouldn't just up and give that much. The guy eventually got his account restored, and the GM restored his gold too. But didn't unmake the gold that had been donated, so our bank got a nice little boost.

One of our guild officers just got hacked and they took everything they could that was green, blue, or purple from the guild bank with all of his characters that were at officer level. I filed a ticket pointing out how all of his characters withdrew their maximum amount from the guild bank and they shut down his account with no fuss, which surprised me because I made the ticket assuming they'd tell me that he would need to report being hacked from his account.
I'm going to update Flash right now since apparently a new exploit's running the rounds. I have Firefox with the proper addons, but it pays to be safe rather than sorry.

For a warlock, ward of the violet citadel from heroism badges is worth it, too (obscure remedies is ok, too, but going from PVP gear to PVE you'll need all the hit you can get up front). Everything else you can pick up at that level you can get better from valor or conquest.

probably not worth using epic gems when gearing up a character, however.
it certainly isn't worth putting them in anything less than Naxx25 gear, with how hard they will be to get. (relative to the stat value they give. they aren't particularly difficult to get, but 20 badges for a gem vs a few gold at the auction house is a big difference when basically every piece of gear from that vendor is an upgrade.
I logged on the other day to a tell from my good friend asking me how many heroic badges I had? I answered "244, why?" and was promptly delighted when he answered me.

Exactly. I haven't spent cause there's nothing really I wanted. I was on the fence about the 200 badge mount, but kind of glad I didn't. I'm only at like 57 mounts and don't have much desire to go for the 100 anytime soon.

When Blizzard un-linked them, they cancelled his game time 'cause "the primary user had changed" or something to that effect.

In addition to what Dhal said, picking up some heroism emblems now will give you a nice little head start on purchasing epic gems with emblems.
