From a daily perspective, icecrown is pretty sexy.
If you are already a champion...
4x champion quests
4x valiant quests
3x Ebon Blade dailies
1x King of the mountain dailies
The Ebon Blade banner planting daily will net you 3 total done (as the vrykul you kill to impale count as scourge)
The other two EB dailies are stupid easy and can be done right in the same area.
The jousting at the tournament is easy for me, but I know some people hate it.
The king of the mountain takes about a minute total.
I usually grab 1-2 others to kill Chillmaw (Do the Black Knight quest chain at the AT), and that same group will go to the citadel to do the jousting there quickly (3 more done)
That's about 150G there... not counting Champions purses.
For the past two or three months, I've been running a quick daily circuit in IC on my 80s that nets me ~300g per hour depending on if you can find a group for the Before the Gates/Citadel joust-a-thon. The circuit takes anywhere between 45-60 mins.
The circuit starts at the Tourney, where you take:
1. Chillmaw
2. Valiant scourge kills
3. Champ scourge kills
4. Valiant Before the Gates
5. Champ Before the Citadel
Then you hit the good ship lollypop and take:
6. Kill 20 vyrkul ("blood of the chosen" i think)
7. Throw withering essence into pot ("renew something or other")
Then you hit the horde encampment at the foot of Ymirheim to begin:
8. Assault by ground
Escort the punks, tag as many of the vyrkul on the way there as they count toward the blimp quest (though they do not count as scourge). Once you get to Ymirheim, finish your 20 vyrkul kills then head to the sneaky goblin that gives out:
9. King of the Mountain
After planting your flag, drink the juice that allows you to collect essences off the scourge for the Renew quest, then go kill those muthas. They will help you finish off scourge kills. Now saddle up and hit Shadow Vault for:
10. Hot like fire
11. Shoot em up
12. Kill bastards and stick swords in corpse bastards
First kill the bastards outside ufrang's hall. They have a little pushback, but if you're geared you can take on 8 packs of two easily and down them quick. Plant your swords, then head to dragon gallery to shoot 'em up. In first person this takes 1 min tops. Now head over to mount a dragon: flame up the same building 8 times and you're out.
Now we're headed for Death's Rise. Grab:
13. Turn Scarlet assholes into zombies
14. Kill assholes and the gryphons they rode in on
Fly to the tower at Onslaught Harbor that sees a lot of gryphon traffic. You know the one, it's closest as you fly in from ENE. Land there and start tagging anyone who flies by. You'll typically get a break after 6 or so kills to drop potion on the corpses and make zombies. This goes by very fast. Really burn these assholes down as they have a tendency to de-aggro and evade if you piss around.
Now turn everything in going back the way you came. If I'm running ahead of schedule after turnins (~40-45 mins burnt on all of the above), then I joust the champions. I've done many, many iterations with lots of other dailies included, but the above is most efficient for me (using either a tricked-out beartank or a shabbily geared lock).

I can't be bothered doing dailies anymore.
I made about 30k a few weeks ago selling Runed Orbs that I got from Emblems of Conquest, so I'm just sitting on about 26k now (the 4k went on raid expenses for the last few weeks). When it runs out....meh, I'll deal with that when it happens...the only things I buy are raid expenses anyway. And I'm levelling a druid alt at the moment anyway which will probably net me a fair chunk of change.

I do Chillmaw, Scourge-killin' and At The Enemy's Gate or whatever for the seals (those pets still go for about 1k), the wood cutting daily, the blue women daily in the hopes of a bear mount and while there also the Chip off the Ulduar Block daily.
I should do Hodir dailies for better shoulder enchant, but cba.
Also, cooking and fishing dailies. Those are awesome easy.
I occasionally do Hodir dailies, but it's only a once-in-a-blue-moon thing.
However; i do both cooking and both fishing dailies every day. I'm going for the Chef title and the potential money from the fishing dailies can't be overstated enough.
Except when i keep getting worthless glass, pygmy oil and Deviate fish which is every day for about 2 weeks now!

I got some sort of crab pet from the fishing daily reward bag a few days ago. Was neat.

I hate hodir rep. I'll never get the pinnacle enchant because I don't want to put up with the dailies. I only do the IC circuit because it's so freakin quick and lucrative (I mine/herb while running it so I usually wind up with lots of mats in addition to the cash). All other dailies can suck it.
I've got to suck it up eventually and powerlvl cooking/fishing, I just can't bring myself to take fishing past 150 or so. It's one of those things in wow that I don't get any gaming out of. I just feel like a fuckin loser waiting for that stupid bob to go off. Once I get myself a decent laptop, I'll start fishing so I can hang out in the living room while the old lady watches batchelorette or some such embarrassment. I definitely want to get fishing up there because I'm sick of hearing about all the goodies people get out of fishing dailies.

Do it while you're reading the forums or whatnot. Double-right-click (I have an addon, Fishing Buddy I think, that casts when you have a fishing rod equipped and you do that), position your cursor over the bobber, alt-tab to the forums, read until you hear the bobber, then alt-tab back and click quickly.
It's still fairly tedious, but at least this way you're doing something besides just waiting.

I just be sure to keep a fishing pole on me at all times and just fish whenever I have some downtime, just a few lvls at a time. I do spend some time grinding fishing skill, but it helps me a lot to have something else to do while I'm doing it like listen to music, read a book, or watch TV or podcasts. They really need to change some of the fishing mechanics though. It gets boring waiting exactly 13-14 sec everytime to get a catch. I do like the change how one can fish anywhere regardless of skill, now i can just sit in Dalaran at night and fish. During the night when there's maybe 10 people in Dalaran at a time, it's a really nice place to just sit and fish.
The best thing about troll raids... is that there's usually water nearby to fish in while you wait for the stragglers to show up... Got to 300 in 1.X thanks to ZG.

You interest me strangely, old bean.
I can go from 0 to 450 sitting in Dalaran? How much time would this add onto the time required to ding 450 using conventional methods, wherein I flit from pond to pond and eventually have to track down Nat Pagle for a dusty tome? (My knowledge of fishing is strictly vanilla.) If it's not much slower, then I will plant myself in Dalaran and have at it once the fancy laptop arrives.

I did pretty much 175-450 in the fountain. Figured I try and get coins at the same time. Doesn't matter where you fish, you will gain skillups at the same amount of time.

I knew it was always like that in lower level fishing areas, where you could go from 1-450 in your capital city's pond or whatever, but you mean they removed the minimum skill needed to fish anywhere?
Does your skill affect what kind of fish you catch, then? Because otherwise that would seem a bit silly.

Your skill affects whether you catch fish at all or crap. The first 25ish ranks fishing in a home city you catch driftwood and such.
If you fish in an area where your skill wouldn't be high enough, you just catch mostly trash which can be sold, opposed to just fishing in a capital city and catching mostly low level fish.
Kinda late to the discussion, but the heirloom chest is gonna be bought with badges? Oo... I know a guy who's gonna be pissed, 'cause he's been doing the Argent dailies so he could buy it.

Yes. They're catering to the people who were pissed off about being 'forced' to the see the content Blizzard worked on instead of flying over it.

Personally, I tend to see more around me while I'm flying. If I'm on my ground mount, I watch for things that will potentially kill me if I'm not paying attention. However, when I'm flying, I see more of what Blizz made in a sense, with a bird's eye view to boot.

This.
And again, we're repeating content that we've already done at least once. Speeding that process up a little is not a bad thing.
So, am I just missing it, or is there no PVP/Arena thread?
In related news, I need to make enough gold so I can dualspec for PvP. Where else is a good spot to run dailies other than the argent tournament?
Icecrown can be a really nice place for dailies.
I did the following for a while : Start at the tournament, do the mounted quests, fly over to Shadow Vault. If you have a buddy or a group available, do Threat from Above. Pick up the 3 quests in SV, head over to the viking place and run your 3 quests there, doing the X scourges killed at the same time. Fly to the citadel, do the quest there, head to the viking village in the middle to do King of the mountain for a quick one. From there, it depends. You can head over to Crystal song then Storm peaks to do the goblin quests, grabbing the blue viking girls at the same time if you're still looking for the bear mount. You could also try to get some of the quest from the airships (i usually did the one in the saronite mine and the "kill 20 vikings" one).
Nowadays i don't bother with nothing but the tournament ones, and King of the mountain on my way back from the Citadel.

Good. Running on foot through Northrend is fine and all, but Alts should be able to do it faster. Hooray for early flying! No more jumping hoops to get into Dalaran.
I think we should have been able to fly in the first place rather than put some awkward excuse in place. Your art team is talented as fuck so challenge them a little and design the place with flying in mind from the start.
Looking forward to the bullshit reason we can't fly until 87.

Well I'll agree that after seeing the content once flying over it is no problem.
I'm welcoming the upcoming mount changes (epic t 40? flying at 60? shit yeah!) with open arms. Aside from the slight tinge of annoyance about how it all comes after most of my alts are nearing 50. Guess my new roll on Cho'gall will benefit.

While I am 100% on board with you here, I doubt it'll come to pass.
Though I do hope that this BoA heirloom system will allow them to implement something like what we're getting in 3.2 from the get-go in the next expansion, so that the very second I hit 90, my alts at 80 can fly (or swim faster or whatever the heck is going to be happening in the next xpac) immediately.

Art has nothing to do with it...it has to do with limiting the ability for you to just fly over mobs to the quest item/mob and then fly out. Basically it's there to slow levelling down by forcing you to fight your way through mobs and have the chance of dying more often.

Just crank up the experience needed. Want to make it tougher (hahahaha)? Put anti-air cannons or demons or whatever to prevent flying over certain areas.

The first time I flew over to the Netherwing Ledge to start their dailies someone was doing a race quest, I happened to catch a meteor right in the face. Spirit rez ho! I figured Blizz had put some AA cannons around the place, to make the grind even more fun!
Since I hadn't done Ogri'la dailies in ages, I almost forgot about AA guns. I remember one of the first quests from K3 I didn't read thoroughly, and I was all "Psh, a mindfield? Ha! I'll just fly right to the WHAT THE FUCK AAAAAHHH!"

So about how long does it take to collect enough to get every heirloom item to increase leveling?
There's currently shoulders, weapons, two trinkets and next patch we can get chest pieces.
I'm a bit curious as to how far Blizzard is going to go with heirloom stuff. Will we eventually get a full set? More PvP heirloom gear? And what about the inevitable assfucking we get when it turns out these items don't gain stats past 80?
They're account bound, but the mail mechanic restricts their movement. If you really want to, you can change servers with a character holding them and pass it around on that server.
