Been thinking of getting a few things online and I know you can use paypal so I figure hey why not?

But before I do that can some people tell me what the deal with paypal is, how much do they charge, is it as secure as I hope it is or is there some real horror stories with it where Paypal jerks you around. is there anything you should watch out for or be aware of?

Any details, thoughts or past instances of the good and bad not to mention info is appreciated.

Been using it since college and I've never had any problem; helps a lot buying shit online from here in Japan too. I just threw my debit card info in there, and when I buy something online it takes it out. Ba da bing, ba da boom. *shrug*

If you're just using it to buy then you've got nothing to worry about. The sellers are the ones that get charged fees and get screwed in disputes.

If you insist upon using paypal, I'd suggest linking it to a credit card and not your banking account or atm card.

That way if you get screwed over by someone or by paypal itself you atleast have some protection.
