So the pictures were shot on a Fujifilm camera using a minisd. The lady did not bring her cable, so knowing my Kodak using minisd, i said i would try to upload them on my laptop.

Kodak Picture share is being a cunt, letting me see the pictures but not letting me transfer them. What are your guys' suggestions on how to get them onto my hard drive?

Thanks

Don't use a program. Just open the SD via My Computer and pull the files onto the desktop.

I'd love to, but it requires me to use the program to view them. Going into My Computer doesn't give me a folder with the pictures

Really? You should be able to put in the SD card, view the SD card under my computer and the file should be there. What is listed in the SD card?

Well it's doing it through my camera. So I don't know if it has to do with the firmware or something. I don't have an SD slot on this dinosaur of a laptop

Ah, I see. So you put her SD card in your camera and are using your cable. I don't know how to make that work, I've always just pulled everything from the card itself. Sorry for the confusion.

You should be able to explore the camera from Windows, it should be on the same 'page' as C:\ and so on.

edit: it should look something like this:
