razor plug problems

just before i moved to the UK my electric razor that I've had since I was 16 decided that it didn't want to cut my facial hair anymore. well, now I have a gnarly (the bad version of gnarly) beard. it needs to go, so I bought a new electric razor at tesco's today. I opened it up and the plug turned out to be just 2 rounded prongs. nothing like the standard massive 3 prong UK plug.

is this normal practice?
can i pick up the converter for cheap from tesco's or poundland?

it a long walk to the nearest real shops, so I don't wanna go there and not be able to find what I need.

I don't understand why you would sell something like that.

    Yes and yes!

If you have a plug socket in your bathroom (which I'm guessing you don't) I think it has to be of the two prong variety so you don't take the microwave for a bath, or so that foreigners don't feel left out or something like that.

Adapter should be cheap and easy to find.

They are 110V instead of the normal EU 230V so people won't electrocute themselves to death, I think that's the rationale behind it.

I haven't seen anyone use those outlets since the late 90's though. Every razor I've seen lately runs on batteries and can be charged wherever.
