Hi folks. I have two extra 3 day passes available for PAX. In order to feel a little less like a scalper, rather than just put the passes up to the highest bidder I'm going to offer them to whomever provides me with the best e-mail + bid combinations. So send me a short note as to why you want/need/can't live without a trip to PAX this year. This event is about having fun with fellow gamers so feel free to make your entries funny and rediculous.
Also include your bid. I'm obviously looking for at least face value ($50 each) for the passes. The highest bids won't necessarilly win, but bid amounts will definately be used as a tie breaker for equally good entries.
I'm planning to offer the two passes to two seperate winners. If you need both passes however, feel free to try to wow me into awarding you first and second prize!
To be fair to anyone who replies right away, [strike] I'll only be taking submissions until tomorrow afternoon, then I'll contact the best entries around 5pm PST tomorrow.[/strike]
EDIT: Seeing as I underestimated the demand and have already received a number of deserving submissions I'm changing the dealine to submit to 9pm PST tonight. I already have quite a few submissions, some funny, some heartfelt, some just plain bizare. I'll keep taking submissions for the next three hours. There are two of us selling passes so we'll sort through them tonight and reply to the "winners'" asap.
EDIT EDIT: We got quite a few submissions and it's currently narrowed down to the six most outstanding entires. We'll try to pick the top two shortly and let the winners know who got the passes and arrange pickup. I'd love to sell a pass to each of the top six finalists, but at the moment there are only two to go around. It may come down to a coin flip or two.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: After much deliberating and a few coin flips we've selected our two winners. As expected they weren't the top two bids. The choice came down to a combination of simplicity, originality and creativity, with bonus points for people desperately trying to get to their first full PAX weekend. If either winner drops out, made other plans or found another seller in the past seven hours we'll contact our third place runner up. In order to feel a little less like a scalper, rather than just put the passes up to the highest bidder I'm going to offer them to whomever provides me with the best e-mail + bid combinations. So send me a short note as to why you want/need/can't live without a trip to PAX this year. This event is about having fun with fellow gamers so feel free to make your entries funny and rediculous.
Also include your bid. I'm obviously looking for at least face value ($50 each) for the passes. The highest bids won't necessarilly win, but bid amounts will definately be used as a tie breaker for equally good entries.
I'm planning to offer the two passes to two seperate winners. If you need both passes however, feel free to try to wow me into awarding you first and second prize!

EDIT: Seeing as I underestimated the demand and have already received a number of deserving submissions I'm changing the dealine to submit to 9pm PST tonight. I already have quite a few submissions, some funny, some heartfelt, some just plain bizare. I'll keep taking submissions for the next three hours. There are two of us selling passes so we'll sort through them tonight and reply to the "winners'" asap.
EDIT EDIT: We got quite a few submissions and it's currently narrowed down to the six most outstanding entires. We'll try to pick the top two shortly and let the winners know who got the passes and arrange pickup. I'd love to sell a pass to each of the top six finalists, but at the moment there are only two to go around. It may come down to a coin flip or two.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: After much deliberating and a few coin flips we've selected our two winners. As expected they weren't the top two bids. The choice came down to a combination of simplicity, originality and creativity, with bonus points for people desperately trying to get to their first full PAX weekend. If either winner drops out, made other plans or found another seller in the past seven hours we'll contact our third place runner up.
