StoryElebits are cute living beings that contain a mysterious form of energy. They have lived in harmony with people for a very long time. One day there was a powerful lightning storm in Kai's home town. All the power has gone out, and the normally friendly Elebits have started to act strangely as well.
The games main character and protagonist is Kai, but Kai's parents have left him at home to determine the cause of these strange activities. Kai really wants to watch his favorite TV show, but he can't since the power is out. He decides that it is the Elebits' fault, and he gets his Dad's Capture Gun. With the Capture Gun, Kai vows to capture all of the Elebits in the house, no matter what!

I don't think it's nearly as quirky, though.
tl;dr
Design is sort of bland, but tech demo does not describe this game - at least not in terms of length or simplicity anymore than you'd call, say, Katamari a tech demo for dual-analog.
The game also gets surprisingly hard. I've gotten to missions where you can't just break the fuck out of everything and have to protect certain things from rampaging Elebits that I've tried to do three or four times, but usually because of the time limit and not because protecting them is difficult.
Overall, I'd compare it to sort of a Pikmin/Katamari hybrid. More complex than you'd think, but also oozing personality.
And I mostly want the game because the cover is awesome.
I'll start adding people in this thread to my Address Book over the next couple of days. In the meantime, feel free to add me (see my sig for the code) and PM me to make sure I return the favor.
I've only played the tutorial and the first story level, but so far, the only thing I regret about buying the game is that I forgot to ask about the plush Elebit preorder bonus when I picked it up at EB. D'oh!
(PM if you add me so I know to reciprocate. Thanks!)
It works now. I've already traded a level and a screenshot with a buddy of mine. Doesn't light up the disc slot though, just notifies you when you start the game. I think that might be what they meant about it not working yet.
I'm gonna go try and make a level, which will undoubtedly suck. I'll add everyone in this thread, so add me if you want to experience the mayhem!
The framerate is pretty solid until you start throwing really big stuff around. Then it slows down a bit

it sounds pretty rad
the boss levels are fucking awesome.
Who ya gonna call?

I've heard the voice acting in IGN's Video review.... VOMIT
I've got a lot to unlock still but it seems like all the online functionality and game modes are there.
Or is this one a rental?
Speaking of which, my first real level is done!
Name: Waggle me softly. (argh, why can't you name your levels in-game?)
Difficulty: Hard
Break Limit: 2
Watts Needed: 1000W
I went for more of a puzzle style level. I'm pretty happy with it consider it's my first. Tested and all, it's winnable, but a bit tricky. So add me and let me know if you want it.
I've only found a few in the first 5 missions. The multiplayer is niiiiiice.
In the first mission
[spoiler:6e681f9085]Try breaking the piggybank, and looking in one of the box shaped cubbards[/spoiler:6e681f9085]
Second
[spoiler:6e681f9085]
Under a big potted plant[/spoiler:6e681f9085]
In the third mission
[spoiler:6e681f9085]Behind a mask on the right wall[/spoiler:6e681f9085]
About the multiplayer, I only have 2 remote&nunchuck combos.
If you use one remote&nunchuck and just a remote for player 2 only player 1 controls the camera, but if you use them both you can set a time limit for whoever controls the camera. Once the time limit runs out, camera/movement control switches over. I'll try creating stages later on. They can be used in multiplayer as well if anyone didnt know.
Things are getting rather large.
I also can't get over how great the music is.
You got a friend code, Bruin? There is a serious lack of level trading going on here.
The single player continues to impress. Just when I think I've seen all their tricks, they keep pulling out something new.
That video just turned this game into an impulse buy. Holy fuck yes it's everything we ever hoped for.
I still haven't touched the level editor, I've been too into the single-player. I'll have to check it out later today.
This topic needs more love.

I messed around with the level editor for the first time earlier today. I was kind of overwhelmed with how much shit I could do so I just put like 30 Elebits in the corner of the room then built a paint can wall around them. I went to play mode and squashed them good.
I also suck at breacking power ups for some reason and will usally just throw them the first time. :?
Oh and can people who dont have the game veiw your screenshots?
Probably, make sure you keep the button held down until they smash, and no.
Hey, add me to your friend list so I can send you my level. I'd like some feedback on it.
And my problem with the power ups is that I was swinging them too far. A nice short tap near the ground works much better then trying to throw them across the room.
So what level are you guys on? I just got to Mission 20 and things are getting pretty crazy.
Also, do you ever get to place yellow elebits in edit mode? I haven't unlocked them yet and that's a pretty large part of depth missing if you can't upgrade the player's gun power.
