And does anyone find it crazy that out of everything, the WWE decides to keep the Goldust electrical accident in continuity? Why won't they just erase it like everything else that happens in WWE?

Kinda dissapointed, since I'm pretty sure he'll be just pimping his movie. I know Seth Green did it with the dvd of RC, but he gave off the vibe that he was actually having fun out there and WANTED to do it. Granted, I don't have a TV that looks into the future, but I can't see myself getting that vibe from Piven.

Also, they had some skits from Robot Chicken that were wrestling-centered.

Really? Jeremy Piven? I mean I know who he is and all, but unlike say, ZZ Top, Shaq, Million Dollar Man, hell even Seth Green, no one is going to tune in specifically because Jeremy Piven is on. I can't really see that as being enjoyable at all. Hopefully they get over this gimmick soon and get a real GM going, its kind of silly to see that out of the 3 "Brands", only one has an actual GM, Smackdown. Britney Spears over on ECW needs to go back to working at the candle store in the mall or wherever the hell they found her ASAP. I think many have said it in these very threads, but Dreamer would be a great choice for a GM as soon as they finally rid him of the belt. He's not very good in the ring anymore, but the crowd still loves him, and he can play the middle of the road kind of guy rather well. Also, putting him in the GM spot on ECW would let him have a King type setup, where he still wrestles once in a great while, but only to "defend the honor of ECW".

As far as RAW finally getting a real GM, we can only hope Seth Green would be considered.

Frankly I found they dragged Punk's heel turn way too long. With the turn though I wonder if maybe Jericho would consider him his tag partner?

Eh, I don't think I'm going to enjoy WWE heel Punk. His slow move to "Jeff, you're a drug doing failure... I'm better then you and everyone that's not straight edge" was good, but doing cliche "Oh look at me, I run away from fights, and beat people up for no reason and so forth" I imagine is going to annoy me and just completely turn me off of punk.

This is why I liked Orton earlier this year. He was super heel sort of, he was a over confident psycho dick, and he was sure as hell backing it up. It's not something they let heels do all that often. Then they turned him from mind games and head punting to disqualification cowardish person.

As far as Jericho goes, his major heel move on Edge was good, but I'm getting bored with him honestly. Each segment with him starts off with "Sychophants and hypocrits" and I just tune him out.

On the bright side of the WWE Cena and HHH entertained me during the beginning of Raw. The hobbit part was funny, yet dumb.

Santino though, just always good. And... did it seem to anyone else that it just didn't seem akward at all to santino to do the dance along the chair near the end?

I think all I'm interested from the PPV is who Jericho gets as a partner.

There are three kinds of heels in the WWE.

Chickenshit cheaters who can't win a match on their own talents.

Monsters who squash more talented wrestlers.

    Completely agree.

Part of me thinks the only reason they changed up his character was because he was getting cheered during the HHH and McMahon feud.

    I dunno.

I really kinda liked the slow heel turn for Punk. It seemed more, realistic in a way? A guy who was doing what he could for the crowd, and to get what he wanted out of it, but because he wasn't as flashy as the other guy, he got all the hate. And continued to get the hate. Psychologically, that would affect a person. And that's what seems to have happened with this heel turn. It was, oddly enough, quite well written. Very well written in comparison, really.

And I am loving Orton. He might not be doing all of the psychological warfare that he was, but I have never yet seen a wrestler (that I can remember anyways) who is so damned good at showing (or letting it show) that he's thinking, considering, contemplating, planning. There is just something about Orton (as an actor) that I absolutely love. He has the ability to make you think that he's thinking even while the commentators are going 'OMG what is going on in his mind?!?!?!"

    Is that making any sense?

That is the only reason. It becomes very obvious when you go back and look at that feud. Which is kind of sad because it would have truly marked a departure from the typical Randy Orton heel that we've seen on and off for a few years and really bring in that main event guy that you turn in to see ala The Rock or Stone Cold.

Yeah, Orton's doing the heel role well I think. And as Kyougu was saying I think they changed it when it seemed like he was starting to get the crowd in his favour. Heaven forbid we might have seen something almost akin to stone-cold again.

BTW, it's nice to see you back on the forums lonely. Sorry if I'm late in saying that but I recall you were gone for a while. Sadly things didn't quite work out with the efed while you were gone.

"Man Up" from mid/late 2007 is main evented by a ridiculous ladder match(the only one in ROH history, in fact) between the Briscoes and Kevin Steen/El Generico. It's wild and the rest of the card is good stuff, too.

How many DVDs are you looking at? Thinking of getting 5 with the buy three get two free deal, or just gonna grab one or two?

You know, I've heard people say TNA is like WCW. I've watched TNA for a month now, and caught 1 PPV at a friends house, and no, no my compatriots, it is not like WCW. It wishes greatly that it could be, but the show itself is just, well it would be rude to even write anything here. It is just bad.

WCW, as cheesy as it was, at least had a weird balance, and some great gimmicks. TNA, well, they have good womens wrestling, I guess. I don't want to come off as whiny wrestling supermark, but TNA really needs to pretty much re-work their entire program to even hope to gain ground against the megabeast that is WWE.

The only others, in my admited limited knowledge, that come close would be Team 3D with 22 World Tag Team belts, Edge, HHH, and possibly Jericho.
