The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
The State, after years and years of legal woes, is out on DVD. You can (and had fucking better, goddamn you) buy it here.
These are the folks who would go on to bring you such delights as Wet Hot American Summer, Stella, Reno 911, The Ten, and (to a lesser extent) Role Models. Also, half the cast pops up in anything funny you've ever seen ever. Don't question me, this is science.
Nads and I are watching it right now, and it is even better than you remembered.
Now because I know you dick-knuckles won't post in a thread without clips, here you go:
you can't forget that some of the dudes wrote the Night at the Museum movies too
try as you might
Also Taxi and 17 Again
Dudes wanna make some money. In my head, they banged all those shitty scripts out in a weekend and purchased a series of highbrow prostitutes with the proceeds

Tom Lennon wrote the Herby the Love Bug movie that started Lohan a couple years back.
But he also did the VO work for Eddie, the on-board computer in the H2G2 movie, so it's all good.
The nearest UCB-affliated theatre to me just went in to bankrupcy.
I've only been there once, but it was to see PFT.
It was a wonderful evening of entertainment, after which I, and the people I was with, asked if he wouldn't mind emptying his pockets (it was a podcast action item.)
And let me tell you this: Paul F. Tompkins' pockets were full of cellophane!
As far as I knew HG was on hiatus (or between seasons, or whatever)
when was it cancelled?
There's a chance they'll only do a special or an abridged season (their seasons were small already) every now and then, because they all have regular work now.
Or at least Aziz does, and I'm just assuming Rob and Paul do too.
I can't believe I forgot KitH. It's probably because it was the only one actually on TV when my family finally jumped in and got satellite service. So I don't feel like I missed out on it... because I didn't.
Also, it's much more expensive than most of the other sketch shows are, and lasted a lot longer.
And speaking of Dave Foley when he was good, I got the News Radio: Complete Series box set for my birthday, and it has some of the worst packaging I've ever seen. It's 12 discs, and they come seated on a CD-R style spindle made of the same cheap plastic they make TV Dinner trays out of.

paul is on 30 rock occassionally
and rob has been on a couple of episodes of comedy death ray radio (although I don't know if Scott Aukerman pays anyone for that.)
The HG guys have actually all been in a few recent episodes of RENO 911 together, and were hilarious.
Also, Aziz contributed to one of the best scenes in Observe and Report (which I still contend is one of the best comedies of the year)

Aziz, the Reno 911 guys, and Rob (I think) are doing Cinemash next week. They picked Point Break. It's going to be awesome.

If they did, they did it wrong. The State should be on the front page, forever
see, i'm not crazy!
I've got all of Mr. Show, and all of Strangers with Candy (hey, it's not a sketch show, but it's still fucking amazing).
I've started watching UCB with a friend.
Now I need to add this to my list too? Insanity.
But you forgot Wainy Days!
Michael Ian Black is not nearly as funny as I originally thought he was!
UCB is the greatest thing
I love UCB
Their movie, Martin and Orloff was pretty good too
Tom Lennon wrote the Herby the Love Bug movie that started Lohan a couple years back.

"Race between Dad and Son gets taken too seriously." Really? That's your premise?
The taco one was mildly funny, though.

I kind of feel bad for Amy Poehler.
You guys know another bad-ass, short-lived MTV Sketch Show that was awesome and much more recent?
Human Giant. Fuck Yes.
(I'd feel bad for Aziz, but he still manages to do pretty decent movies and to kick IMAX's ass)
for beating you in saying that UCB is great or for not liking the first skit?
As far as I knew HG was on hiatus (or between seasons, or whatever)

I've never seen Mr. Show or Human Giant

Too busy filming Piranha 3-D?
