Desktop was turned off, unplugged, replugged in and now sound won't come out. Speakers work with Ipod and it's not on mute and speakers and computer volume are high enough. I checked the system settings and it says nothing is wrong/

Check your Sounds and Audio Devices window in the Control Panel, look at the audio tab and make sure default sound playback device is set to the correct device (probably your sound card/chipset)

Has anything been changed hardware wise, even just the case?
