Did anybody read about how one's supposed to earn the new land-mount over at Un'Goro Crater? There's going to be Venomhide Ravasaur corpses all over the place!
In the most general of terms, Blood is top for single target tanking, Unholy for AoE, with Frost able to adequately handle either role.
It's harder to find guides and builds for Unholy tanking simply because it's so weak for single target tanking that very few people use it, since there's no aoe tanking that's really tough enough, or important enough, that frost couldn't handle easily.
with dk tanking, really just start with 5/5/5 and go from there
really the only concern you will have is grabbing the major survivability talents i.e. bone shield, extra disease for death strike, possibly rune tap over in the blood tree, etc.
as long as you can maintain a decent rate of tps and not take a retarded amount of damage you will be fine
edit: but this will probably only be effective in heroics, as frost has too much good stuff in it to pass up in a raid situation
Frost is also a very "pure" tree in terms of what you need to take to be effective: unless things have changed since the last time I trawled around the DK forums at EJ, the top-rated Frost DPS and tanking specs have exactly 51 points in that tree. No filler, no bloat.

The truth is I might be all but done with WoW for a bit. I'll try to show up for 25 man nights, but the movers are paid and there is so much to do before the August 3rd. Also finding a new job is a priority. Relocating is madness.

You want the thread titled "Suno's Fireside Chat - DK Endgame Tanking" in the DK Class Mechanics subforum. I'd link it but EJ is blocked by the firewall at work. The OP is pretty awesome, and includes Blood, Frost, and Unholy specs/glyphs, and gives a basic overview of their strengths/weaknesses.
I actually find the DK subforum has some pretty awesome thread OPs, though not all of them are kept as up to date as others.

Because you're still gearing up and all our other healers are pretty decked out already or they're alts. There's really no reason NOT to roll on stuff.
Heck the reason you're soaking up so much loot is cause most of the time you're the only one rolling. It would just go to waste if you didn't take it!

I had a long talk with a former guildmate and then I stared at my old main for such a long time today.
Pretty sure I'm going to do this dumb resubscribing thing. The hard point is going to be starting over, and not playing my priest again. But I really don't want to do that. Really.
