Most fertile soil and a healthy body?

So I now have a Nice Job with Benefits after 4 years of college.

Now I am going through the gamut of medical examinations I didn't have the money to pay for during college like the optometrist, orthodontist (wisdom teeth need going away), etc.

I want to know- do most health insurance programs cover fertility tests? and where are those typically conducted?

I am engaged and the fiancee and I were wondering about my fertility as I have had numerous health problems growing up and a potential side effect of some of them is infertility. Do normal physicians perform male fertility tests? Or do I need to go to like...a sperm bank?

Generally one worries about infertility after "conventional methods" fail - if you haven't put a bun in the oven within a year, someone's got a problem.

If you have a physician already a quick call to their office could sort this out.

Yea, good idea dave...for some reason actually ASKING my doctor had escaped me...

and falcon- It is really more to satisfy a personal curiosity more than anything else. Nothing "failed" I had just heard infertility was a side effect of some of the problems I've had and some of the treatments used for them. So I just wanna know.

Gotcha. But generally the doctor will say "Try the natural way for a year" or something similar; if after a year of genuine honest "trying to get pregnant" you still haven't managed to succeed, then they'll move into the fertility testing, sperm count, suggestion of IVF/hormone therapy/etc. At that point, yes, you should have it covered.

But just going for a wank-in-a-cup before and asking them to count your squid? I don't think they'd cover that. :P
