Welp, if someone can repeatedly sit around like a wuss and get nothing done and don't absorb that it's ineffectual as a tactic, then I think the feedback is the least of the player's worries...
But sometimes you can be a ninja with the CND
Sort of like how just a quick glance of a scoot will send half the team chasing after them like retards, a passing spy will send the respawns on a wild goose chase. The spy might not kill anything, but it will reduce the number of angry burly mans standing on the point by 1/2.
You got beat'd hard.

No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.
The C&D fits my spy-style so perfectly it takes me from an average .4 K:D ratio to a 1+ K:D ratio. I'm no great spy, I admit, but I'm good enough to be an asset for my team. Just because you can be terrible with the C&D doesn't mean you have to be terrible with it.
Man, I don't even know what the cloak and dagger does!
It's an invisibility watch that only drains when you move, and recharges when you stand still.
Ah. That seems useful in the right situations.
In general it promotes bad habits.. spies will just sit around in complete safety, using up a team slot but not helping in the slightest. You really have to use it like the regular cloak to remain useful.. which is hard, because running over ammo doesn't replenish it.
You can make some pretty epic getaways with it, however.
A bad spy is a bad spy, doesn't matter which watch he uses.
I do way better with the regular watch or Cloak and Dagger than I do with the Dead Ringer. It doesn't really fit my play style I don't think.
Has anyone else had their favorite servers list disappear, but only while in game? If I set it to show map list or open up steam outside of the game and check my servers they all appear fine, but in game with map list disabled they do not.
Tried just re-adding them and that doesn't change anything. Weird

That happened to me months ago, but it's been fine recently.
Hmm. So either Jon or Jobs does not appear on my favorite server list when I start up TF2.
Anyone know a way to fix this?
Add them to your favorite server list? Duh. ;-)
I did. They both would appear, but only one at a time. After I came in here and bitched about it, they both showed up. So apparently bitching solves TF2's problems.

We like to keep this kind of information on the down-low so to say. Otherwise people might get ideas.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett
Healing soldiers and demos on the way to the front is pretty much standard practice, because they damage themselves to travel up quicker than the rest (minus scouts) do.
This also means though that on the rest of the trek to the point, you should be able to over-heal everyone else as well so that by the time THEY get to the point, they're topped up and you can babysit the people who've gotten there first and have already taken some hits.
Scoots can't keep up with an overhealed soldier or demo until they outpace the heal beam unless it's a map with a low ceiling.

I get that sometimes but I just attribute it to map changes.
Oh god I delved into the steam forums for like 5 minutes and I feel like I have lost brain power.
Sure that's not the captain?
So yeah, the C&D can be rightly annoying let me tell you. Granary last night this one god damn spy! AGGGGGGHHHHHH. Real men use their fists or shovels! :x

I think the C&D is fantastic as long as the user is creative and not too timid. I've stabbed a person or two, run off while cloaked, and literally just squatted down just to the side of the middle of a platform. An engy and a sniper both came up looking for me, the engy bumped into the side of me, and both just kept running on by. Hopping up on boxes or crates, waiting on edges, standing in seemingly obvious corners, they all are incredibly effective.
In fact, one db heights game I hid in a corner and an engy kept coming and building a dispenser literally at my feet. Ironically, he was trying to hide the dispenser in the same corner I was hiding in. Four different times he came up, built the dispenser, ran off, I sapped it and cloaked, and then he'd come back and build it again. I didn't get discovered until a pyro actually saw me decloak and sap the dispenser. By that time, I was laughing so hard at the engy that I really didn't care.
Too bad no amount of sneaky cloaking makes up for the random pyro reveals and backstabs which somehow don't kill anybody. I honestly can't play the class for more than 15-20 minutes before I lose all patience and switch to something immediately effective like a Demoman.
So I had fun tonight even though Tyrannus called me stupid for getting killed by the slow train on freight. It was pretty dumb.

Basically all of my spy achievements have been while using the Cloak and Dagger. It takes a little while to get used to the idea of "ok, now stop dead in the midst of your enemy's base and WAIT", but once you do, the havoc can be delicious.

Try the DR. None of that frustrating random stuff - I kill people with my gun half the time and if a Pyro catches you just run back to your buddies and start over. You just have to forget about the standard Spy infiltration routine and play like an ambush class near the front lines.

yeah, well how about i show you my punch to your face ratio, tough guy
what will you do then
Maybe we trained him wrong, as a joke.
He's quite proficient in "His Face to Your Fist" style.

I want to turn FF on so bad every time a ctf map comes up.

I was a spy disguised (as my own team I think) so not sure whether that makes any difference.
i think we found out that it can happen if the rockets are in mid air when the sentry dies, they can damage and kill you.
I think the rockets don't care what team your on. Unless I'm talking out of my ass.

I wish you guys would turn on FF just once to see how well those pyros spy checking everything and flailing fire wildly as they walk down corrodors.
8-)

I don't think that's a complete sentence.
My brain keeps trying to parse it as one but it's not working.
The steam forums did more damage than the cap'n could ever do.
I love him so much I almost want to give him a bite of my tasty sandvich
I peed on it.

trains are pretty evil
so I am trying the FAN
it is rather easier
and lets you autowin scouts, basically
no mass killage though
can't wait until I get good with the scatter again
i ubered you and yelled at you and it was great

It was a pleasure to serve. Somewhere in the OCD part of my head there was an urge to kritz the soldier when he showed up.
But I could not abandon my Heavy friend! (I like a good kritzed heavy anyway) Much
yep. a lot of people would have seen the teams and said welp but thanks to our medics we won.
