That is because you root for a team filled with awful, awful men.
hmm
TO and Bledsoe are ehh
but for the most part Dallas is pretty good
I liked Dat Nguyen. I hate Parcells and Jerry Jones though. I'm also not a huge fan of Roy Williams. I never had a problem with Bledsoe, but I could see why you'd hate him if he was your QB.

Jerry Jones is a douchebag, I agree with Parcells because I've despised him over the last 3 years until this year, Dat Nyugen was a goddamn stud, and Roy Williams hurts people, so I like him.

I really don't see the Chargers losing again this season, including the playoffs.
The rest of the teams in the AFC are too flawed. The Pats have no receivers and the Colts can't stop anyone. The Ravens offense is not good enough to win the Superbowl. Yeah I know they won in 2000 with Dilfer, but the AFC was much, much worse that year. I think the team with the best chance is the Bengals, because they're peaking at the right time. They also have the best balance of offense and defense to contend with the Chargers.
A Pats-Cowboys Superbowl would be the best, but I would be seriously torn on who to root for. Probably the Pats because I love the Cowboys but hate TO.

Hmm the Ravens currently have the number 1 rushing defense in the AFC, the number 2 passing defense in the AFC and the overall number 1 defense in the AFC.
They have already beaten the Chargers once this year, and in the LT era in SD the Ravens have never allowed more than 14 points. in fact in the HISTORY of the Ravens v Chargers, San Diego has only scored more than 17 points once.
Defense wins championships the Ravens have stopped LT before, multiple times and there is nothing that anyone has shown me to make me think that they won't do it again if they face one another.
A Ravens v Chargers game would be the number 1 rushing offense going up against the number 1 rushing defense. Football history will tell you that 9 times out of 10 the defense wins that battle. Not to mention the fact that the Ravens lead the conferrence in INTs (with 22)
Also the Ravens have a nice middle of the road offense - 8 of their 11 wins they have scored more than 24 points. Also, the Chargers have played only 3 teams all year with a top 10 ranked defense. They are 4-1 in those games. In those games they were held to under 30 points for 3 of the 4 times this year - the one loss, thats right, was to the Ravens the ONLY time this year that the Chargers were held to under 21 points.
What in the hell just happened with that blocked punt and ... how the Chargers got the ball back?
Was it because the Chiefs' player touched the ball after it was blocked and then San Diego fell on it?
Then like the next play LT runs for like 85 yds.
from what i understand, since the Chiefs player touched it past the line of scrimmage it became a live ball.
oops
on a related note, San Diego has been the beneficiary of some of the weirdest calls I've seen this year. Especially the 'illegal forward pass' by Vincent Jackson.
I love it

I mean, that is the right call. But the entire city of Kansas City just had one giant collective stroke yelling at the TV.
right now KC's only possible effect on the postseason is as a spoiler for the Broncos. If KC and Denver end up in a tie with one other team for the last Wild Card, the third team would get it. Meanwhile, if it was just Denver and team x, Denver would get it.

oh no doubt
but given that San Diego spent the first decade of my football fandom making the same type of mistakes that KC made on that play, it's nice to finally have some go our way

i really hope that the ravens collapse and it turns into a san diego super bowl, as the ravens are the only team right now that could pose any real challenge to the chargers right now.
but i havnt seen anything that happened today new orleans would be nice i guess

So if both the Chargers and the Colts lose, then the Ravens become # 1, in some crazy nfl way. Go Ravens
here's the breakdown
Here's an interesting tidbit.
If San Diego and Indy tie for the conference lead at the end of the year, San Diego holds the tiebreaker for common games (Tennessee, Buffalo, Denver, Cincinnati).
If San Diego and Baltimore tie for the conference lead at the end of the year, Baltimore holds the tiebreaker for head-to-head
If Baltimore and Indy tie for the conference lead at the end of the year, Indy currently holds the tiebreaker for strength-of-victory (Defined as strength-of-schedule only counting the teams you beat).
so San Diego > Indy, Baltimore > San Diego, Indy > Baltimore
given current statistics, if these teams end up in a three-way tie for the conference lead, the seedings are as follows.
1. San Diego (common games over both teams)
2. Indy (strength of victory over Baltimore)
3. Baltimore

if San Diego has to go into Baltimore, it's a tough game. but if Baltimore has to come to San Diego, I think the Chargers are really hard to beat

Hmm, interesting. Its funny that after this week, all three teams have an easy game and a fairly tough game for the remainder. Though I doubt it'll come down to a three way tie.

you want them to lose terribly again?
Even if Philly somehow did, they pretty much just won't win.
somehow i don't find that very funny, dynagrip
I didn't realize you could predict the future! Ask the Steelers how they answered similar criticism last year!

I find the thought deliriously wonderful.

No no, I'm a sad, deeply bitter 49ers fan.
I'm so glad the Iggles went on to lose to Carolina that year.

I am sure that about a million TVs in KC just got a ton of shit thrown at them.

Glad I'm not a Chiefs fan.
Yes, we understand that - but that still sucks for the chiefs, HARDCORE.
And no the Chiefs didn't stand a chance at all. They have been lame ducks only a little bit longer than the Broncos in that division.

and as I figure it, if the Chargers win tonight, they only have to win one of their last two games to clinch a bye
