I doubt I'd beat your face in, as I only played for about 30 minutes the day it came out and haven't had a chance to play it again. I think I got distracted with BF1943.

So Gears 2, I have it and have never played online. Should I try to join in on Horde-ing sometime y/n (I don't have, nor have any intention of buying, any of the map packs because I'm cheap)

now would be a good time to get them though because they're 19 maps for 20 bucks, to put in perspective I think gears 2 launched with less than 12 maps

Blazblue get, but no CT to be found.
That SF4 deal is very tempting, even though I chose Blazblue over it as my "Baby's First Fighter" because of that tutorial disc. Dammit, why do these awesome deals show up when I need to conserve my money...
Will be getting MvC2 tomorrow as soon as possible. Gonna tune my team up and see if I remember how to irritate people with my spiderman.

I just acquired some blazblues it's sweet. Also it will be easier as a first fighter than SF4 (sf4 had some pretty tough links). It will be a bit harder to switch characters though, each one has a different drive gimmick. The DVD makes me laugh. Combo section:
combo 1 A B C
combo 2 A B C (hold)
combo 3 6B (counter) 66B 6C+D (air) C B B C+D C
(The next 6 combos literally fill up the whole screen with the buttons you have to push). Depending on how new you really are Beeb, I'd just practice moving around, blocking, doing special moves listed in the instruction manual, and really basic combos like a(light) b (medium) c (hard).
I will be picking up MvC2, and lucky for you guys, I won't be practicing much. I have to stay in button masher tier for my friends (basically so we don't end up like the last 2 PA comics).
Did you get your eagle yet Fyre? It's kinda feeling like we will just have to go into btb with 5 people or less...
Also, just ignore posts made by me last night, I was a bit wasted. I'm suprised I didn't end up writing a 20 page fanfiction and posting it here.. it kinda looks like that was the direction I was headed in. :?

Dammit guys, I already went out and bought two fighters when the only other fighter I've played was Soul Cal 2, and all I did then was spam the same arching move with Talim. My prowess at fighters will pretty much be on par with Brent and Cole from PvP; either mash buttons, or spam one attack and hope for the best.
And now you want me to buy another, if only because I can make Mega Man and Iron Man throw down.
And, naturally, I need more MS Points anyway if I'd want to get the first Red Faction DLC on August 13th;got 1200 for Turtles, the DLC's 800, and it just so happens that one of the options for buying Points is 2000.
As to HAWX owning, I can just hop in a plane in 1943; either way, I'm pretty mediocre at both.

And it's not like that hasn't happened to me before in Smash Bros, Pokemon, Warhawk, and all the other games I've played online. Winning doesn't equate to fun.
Plus, how often would I go up against random dudes when I can play against Browncoat and Rat?

Why? Wasteland, like many other Sandbox variants, is just god awful. Whoever thought it was a good idea that you could be seen from the enemy base from the other side of the map every direction you go, is beyond me.
I usually defend sandbox variants... but I can't really do that with wastelands (that is the one with the floating overshield, right?). The middle is just way too open, even the ramps don't provide any cover if it is an 8 on 8 game. It's just too easy to get shot from the side. I DO like the bases though. Running down that first ramp in plain view of the other team is pretty fun (I like quickdraw starts like slayer last resort)... but would be much better if you could run down the ramp into a bunch of cover.
