Strange bruises / stretch? marks on upper arm

So about a month ago, getting out of the shower at the gym, I looked down at my left upper arm, and noticed that I've got a couple of strange marks there, like bruises or stretch marks. It doesn't hurt, it doesn't itch, it doesn't feel strange, it just looks strange. I assumed it might have been a minor bruise from something I did at the gym, ignored it, and thought it would go away. It didn't.

So now its still there, still apparently harmless, but also still weirding me out. I was just doing some bench presses and standard upper arm exercises, nothing strange, so I can't figure out why I have these things. Should I go see a dermatologist or something? I'd hate to end up with skin cancer or something (yes, I'm paranoid).

Picture spoilered.

They look like stretch marks to me. Bruises should be completely gone within a month and are usually tender to touch, as well as be a yellow/blue colour in appearance.

Yep, stretch marks. Use moisturiser. It probably won't make a difference to the existing marks, but it might stop more. They will fade, but never really disappear.

Yep. Stretch marks from your growth spurt/your shoulders broadening.

There's nothing you can do about them, really. Pretty much every man I know has them.

edit: just to show you, a picture of the ones on my right shoulder:

I've got some roughly in the same area as well. I'd be suprised if most people who lift don't have some.

Cool, thanks. I'm still not sure how the hell I got stretch marks lifting with my weakass muscles, but good to know I don't have cancer!

There's a number of products you can use to get them to fade as well, just go to a pharmacy and ask one of the employees about skin care products for the stretch marks on your shoulders. Stretch marks are a fairly common issue for A) Pregnant Women and B) Gym Rats.
