You will be until you get some practice in. That's all it takes, is copious amounts of vicious sucking for way, way too long.
Then you'll start sucking only a little less and the game will be infinitely more fun.
Pick a hero and stick with it. Read guides. Oftentimes you'll find you've missed out on some killer hilarious unit/item combo you totally didn't think about and you'll suddenly begin to raep faec.
Just keep at it, keep a good attitude, and keep an open mind to learning.
Guides are written by mornos. Experience is the best teacher. Or a grueling school of people who will belittle you every time you do bad.
Case in point: Baby's first abaddon aka babaddon
Guides I'd say are useful for picking up useful information that would otherwise go unknown without a lot of experimentation or time.
For instance, orb walking, eye placement, juking in the woods, and simple stuff like bottling wards. The only time I see guides use subjective information is in skill selection or item selection, because really, items are going to depend on what kind of team you're up against as are skills sometimes.
Arcane ring is the standard first item for Jereziah/Omni; then you shoot for one of the big int items (sheep stick, maybe cyclone stick (this is after standard stuff like phase boots or travels)). I never really saw a mek on him in competitive play (if he didn't get banned). His mana pool is relatively small as it is and it's a little risky having all of your healing come from one source. It's generally a little better to get a mek on one of your babysitters (like warlock or something), who probably aren't going to generate at on of money anyway.
Oh (to avoid double posting), the changes made to OMNI in HoN seem completely unnecessary and ridiculous. A PIRATEESQUE cleave? And his repel gives a speed buff now? Huh?!

To be fair, at least it isn't 20 seconds duration and 20 second cooldown. There's a good six second gap where you can blast him with spells if you haven't already purged off the repel itself.
So, I would be very interested in in house games but it seems that there is only ever one other person online at the most. When is the time where most of the pa people get on?
Also the HoN name is Triskel and I could use an invite to the clan.
I feel like I'm not worthy enough to play with you guys... fmz65 is the handle for the game though. I'll try to get some practice in tomorrow when we upgrade our internets so it runs faster.
I have persisted with this game the last few days, and I am beginning to believe that I do not suck horribly any more. My favourites so far have been Kraken, Pestilence and Predator. My problem is that my rating has gone to absolute shit, and I am getting a bit self-conscious about this. I seem to lose a lot more often than I win even when I play well, so now I am being very careful not to join games where the odds seem to be against me, simply because I don't dare to fall any lower in rating (I fell down to 1380 at one point, and am only now crawling over the 1400 mark again).
How many PA games are being played? I have checked into the PA channel but it has almost always been empty, are there different servers for europe and america?
So guys, I have 3 new invites for you! All I need is a PM with your contact info and the promise that you'll never EVER EVER EVER EVER buy Runed Axe or play Accursed like he's a hero killer.
I got into the beta a couple days ago and have kinda gotten a handle on how to play this game, so I was interested in joining the PA clan. Better crowd and such.
Also I am so tired of falling into games with the czech. Meanest people to ever walk the earth.

Wow... so I just read the FAQs for this... I have no idea what to do. Anyone want to help me or should I just go play randomly in matches and hope that I get better?

And if you really want to impress him, go wards with Slither. It's his favorite build.

And make sure you place the wards out in the open so everyone can gaze upon their glory.

If anyone is up for it.
Hamlet will be Hamlet
An ineffable tragedy of the human spirit that still resonates, even today.

Is icefrog working on LoL too?
I hope the term 'moba' won't get widespread usage.
