I would just to apologise for rage quitting in a game earlier. Each game I played with pretentious on my team, he called me an idiot after I died, and after I lost a duel with slither he just would not shut up about what a horrible player I am. I lost my head and quit the game, and for that I am sincerely sorry. I hope I will be able to play with you all again some time.

Just played the beta (kinda, it ran very slow on my PC). This just looks like vanilla DoTA. And are the characters you play as determined by what player slot you get?
Is the account creation working for anyone else? The note that said it was down is gone, and there's a form there now, but when I fill it out, I'm getting a "BETA Key not found".

Well, I quit a game with PA players in it. Sorry about that. It's the first time I've left a game but its also the first time I've seen so much crap from my "teammates." What is surprising is it wasnt even Pretentious :P.
So, I just tried this game out, and I now realize it's gonna take a lot of getting used to. Half the time I have no idea what any of the other heroes are capable of until they've already killed me
The game has one helluva learning curve. Beat your way through the "feeling stupid" section of the game (using other players as knowledge base) and your in for some very satisfying team gaming.

Yeah the learning curve is BRUTAL. Most of us who are halfway decent had spent a good amount of time in DOTA which has spanned years since it came out so HoN isn't really that difficult. As far as internet communities go, I'll take HoN's over Xbox Live any day. Even Bnet kiddies aren't half as bad.

I realise in hindsight I did a mistake, but considering I was one hit from killing you I do not consider it a huge one. I guess I am just not thick skinned enough, I can't take people shouting at me for several minutes after I suffered a humiliating death. That is fine, there are people to play with besides Pretentious.

rinse dry repeat.
Eventually, you get good enough to hold your own against most, and even then, you get whomped and people hate you.

By the time you have over 200 deads you will be a decent player expect that your KD ratio will sucks.
1. Pop ult in fountain.
2. Port to troubled tower.
3. Giggle.
