Ha, this is the worst I've ever seen it. Too bad I forgot about this until 12:57.Good thing I didn't particularly want Bayonetta anytime soon I suppose.
Finally got rid of my disc only Zone of the Enders 2 though, woo!
edit: I kinda wish the places were switched for me. I was planning on buying Bayonetta anyway (slightly wary due to PS3 issues) but Darksiders was barely on my list. The only enthusiasm I had was via people in the Darksiders thread. Now I'll have to wait forever to play Darksiders and slightly less time to play Bayonetta, and I sorta wanna just buy Darksiders instead.
Woke up this morning to discover I've been bumped up to 42nd. Hell, I'm glad I purchased those trade tokens before putting it into my list - there's a lot of restricted trades up there.
I guess that's one of the nice things about Goozex Europe still being quite a smaller service. On the one hand things chug along a little slower on the trade frequency front, but on the other hand I can casually load up the page at lunch time the day after the release and get 5th in the queue for Darksiders.
Have I mentioned that I love this service before? It works so very well.
Yeah, I'm only sitting on like, 600 points. There's not enough stuff I'm willing to get rid of to actually ever get a new game.
The way I view it is thus - I got rid of Brütal Legend because once I'd played through the story I'd pretty much seen all there was to see. Sold it off for 1000 points which I'll use to get something new (like, hopefully, Darksiders) which I'll play through, trade in for 1000 points and so forth.

If you ever get the itch to play Brutal Legend again, I bet the game will be under $20 in two or three years.
5th for Darksiders on the PS3. My F5-fu is incredible.
On a related note, the game that I never received was finally closed. Goozex refunded my points, reversed the negative feedback to a positive for the seller, and I would assume gave him the 950 points as well.
a month later I have the game being sent from another seller. Whee..
Down to 33rd on Darksiders, but got bumped to 34th. Guess one of the 'On Hold' guys activated.
In other news - 100 point games are a guilty pleasure. I'm still tossing up if I want to get Perfect Dark Zero again just to knock some gamerscore out of it. Also ordered DMC4 for 250, which I figure is a fair price if only to kick out some practice for Bayonetta.
Got Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for 400 points yesterday.
It came sealed.
I should have waited to report feedback until I got more points so I could gave tipped the guy.

In a bit of a jam. Sold The Last Remnant (PC) to someone. He cant get it running because I already used the Steam registration key. I sent Steam customer support a question under "The Last Remnant" because none of the other sub-question choices seemed appropriate. Its been 3 days now and no answer from them. Maybe I shouldve sent the question under one of the more serious sounding questions. I have no idea whats going to happen from here.

Wait. So you used the game's cd-key to download it through steam anytime without using the discs, and then traded the discs away?
You might end up taking this one on the chin.

No, I used the discs to install. I thought to play it I had to register it with steam first, or at least thats what it seemed like at the time. If it comes down to it, I'll give him my steam account outright. I dont need it.

Yeah, Last Remnant is one of the games that you can put on your Steam account by using the CD-key. It's locked in.
The way I see it you can either explain what happened and try to cancel or (and I don't even know if this is allowed by various EULAs) give away the account.
Hmm, I was just thinking about this, and feel free to correct if any part of this is wrong.
For new releases that you want to request, might it be in your best interest to request disc only right away, since disc only has the priority requests over the other conditions even for full package (I think that's how it works, I can't quite find where it defines that but I'm pretty sure I read that it works that way somewhere), and since there's a good chance that you would receive the full package since the game just came out and the vast majority of people are going to be sending it out like that anyway.
For example, Bayonetta on the 360 has 10 full packages on hold for offers and 1 for disc only. For me in line, I am 44th in line for full package, but 4th in line for disc only, meaning if I switched to disc only I'd get it a hell of a lot faster (if I wanted it, it's on hold so I don't want it right now) with only ~10% chance of getting a disc only, at the moment.

That's not a bad idea. I've tried this once with Full Throttle for the PC and went with the disc only option since that game is rarely ever put up for trade. I received the disc in a cardboard sleeve - and that was what I asked for - but I secretly hoped they would send the original box, too. But for newer games? That might work out fine.

That only puts you ahead for the traders who are offering disc only.
Requesting a new release as "disc only" is only going to run you the risk of receiving a "disc only" copy, since the first person who offers "disc only" will be matched with you. You're still in your regular place in line as far as "full package" requests go.
Your example is incorrect. If you switch to "disc only" for Bayonetta, you're 4th in line for the "disc only" offers, not "full package." If you got matched up with one of those, you're getting the disc by itself. Nobody offers "disc only" if they have the full package, if that's what you're thinking.
Edit: Unless there is some crazy unwritten Goozex code where people will offer up new releases as "Disc Only" as a way of creating a smaller queue for themselves to get the game out faster, but I'll bet you they are just trading copies where the manual/package are untradable for whatever reason. You'd be surprised how terribly some people handle their things.
Goozex explicitly states that if you request 'Disc Only' you may be paired up with someone offering a 'Full Package'. It makes sense, since someone who requests disc only isn't likely to complain if they get a full package, and the sender gets the same amount of points either way.
Whether this trick works or not depends on whether Disc Only or Full Package requests get priority.
If I want to trade a game and the only requests are for Disc Only, but I have a full package, I might opt to trade it anyway since I don't get any bonus points for having the extra gubbins.
But if I have a full package I will ship a full package. If a cousin stomps the case or drools over the manual while the game is in the system, and I end up with just a disc, I might trade it out, but I have no reason to ship it as Disc Only unless one of my friends says "I'm 1st in line for disc only, trade with me!"
SmokeStacks: Don't feel obligated to tip just because someone sent you a sealed game. Plenty of people buy sale versions of games explicitly to trade, so they're already getting a boost. Otherwise, why would they trade something they haven't already used in some way? I got Silence of the Lambs on bluray, sealed, from one of the founders of Goozex, and I didn't tip him. I thought it was kind of weird, actually.
Now, if the game is rare or old and it comes sealed, and you think that's cool, then feel free to tip. You can tip regardless, of course, but don't feel obligated just because you got a sealed copy.

Don't think that actually changes your place in line. Probably people who realized they really really want it and went out to buy it.
