Alright, so I found someone to trade me their new copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction. Normally I would be happy but this time, the guy who accepted the trade told me he would send out the game within 3 days. It's now been 6.
That, combined with the fact that he has no trade history at all leads me to believe something fishy is going on. I've sent him a PM and I'm waiting for a reply but, just in case, if this does lead me no where, all I have to do is hit 'cancel trade,' right? I don't want to sacrifice my 1000 points or awesome 'first in line' status with SC: Conviction.

If it's not your fault, don't EVER cancel a trade. You initiating the cancel will put you at the end of the queue, meaning you'll have to wait for everyone else to get their copy before you get matched up again. Negative feedback that sucker.
To repeat, DO NOT INITIATE A CANCEL or you lose your place in line. You're unfortunately stuck in limbo until negative feedback becomes available but that's the way to go.
That said, six days is a tad early to go freaking out. Just because he hasn't bothered to click 'confirmed posted' doesn't mean he hasn't. Plus the system gives you a massive window for it to arrive in so he's still fine by the letter of the rules. I'm a terrible person and often post my stuff well after the three days, however I always send it 1st class so it gets to the recipient well within Goozex's acceptable window.
Yeah, give it some time out of fairness to the guy, I just wanted to make sure you knew that clicking that cancel button would be a bad, BAD idea. It sucks that you'll have to wait through the window to choose negative feedback, and then have to wait for the feedback to get disputed, but I guarantee that will still take less time than if you cancel the trade and have to go all the way through the line again.
Bah I need to send out two more games tomorrow. I forgot to do it this morning, I hope they don't hurt me.
On a side note: I put both Pokemon: Ruby and Pokemon: Sapphire up on Goozex. Sapphire sold last week to someone, and Ruby a couple days ago. Both of them are going to the exact same house but different name/user. Weird.
So I just received a game that the guy never confirmed shipped and sent the slowest possible way to deliver. It took 8 days. But I'm not complaining about that.
No, the game game with dozens of fingerprints on the BRD, and after I just spent the time to wipe them off I found two scratches. On top of that, the case has a giant gouge in it.
He is a brand new member, and this is his first trade.
If it works, it sucks but that's a +5. If it doesn't work, neg him.
Goozex is a used game site, not a collector's site.
Well yeah, I didn't say anything about leaving a neutral or neg. The game works, it's just in shitty condition.
Just wondering if it's worth leaving a +5 positive instead of +10 positive.
I've sent out some PS1 games that were in terrible condition but worked fine, and I've always PM'd the buyer first to make sure it's okay to send a working game in poor condition.
I'd say send the 5. It won't hurt him, and it'll make him try a little harder, hopefully. Not to get all bootstraps, but sending a 10 sends the signal that sending scratched up discs is kosher.
Yeah, send the +5. He still gets the points, you still get the game. It's just a way of telling him "Hey, thanks for the game, but you could have kept it in better shape."

Okay this is a question I'm sure I should be able to find an answer to myself, but I can't find a specific mention of it on the Goozex site. Is Goozex world-wide? Are there any countries that you can't work with? Goozex doesn't say anything about which countries it supports but it doesn't say that its specifically worldwide either.

There are regions. North America, Europe... not sure what others. You can't trade between regions.
I'm also in the US and Goozex is only giving me the option to trade in the US, Canada, and Bermuda.
cj00 they've made a mistake on your account and it's only a matter of time before they correct it. Quick, request as many Phoenix Games PS2 titles as you can while you've still got time!
I got Uncharted: Drakes Fortune a couple of weeks ago and have been playing through it. Unfortunately, the game disc has a little tiny scratch on the outer rim. The game played fine through the first two levels so I thought nothing of it.
Unfortunately, it makes the game seize up 5 minutes before the end. Goddamnit. I'll have to go rent it just to finish it.

Oh, you're right. It's Bermuda.
Also, I don't even have a PS2 to play Phoenix Games games on. No condescending dinosaurs for me.
Both of them are going to the exact same house but different name/user. Weird.

I thought there was something in Goozex's TOS about only one account per house. Isn't it supposed to automatically lock you out if you try to add the same address to two accounts?
Or did something change?
edit: from the FAQ:
Multiple accounts
Setting up multiple accounts for the same user or for the same household is prohibited by the Goozex Terms of Use and may result in having all accounts disabled permanently.
Goozex takes great pride in the honesty and fairness of all its users, as this trading community is created by the individual contributions of each member. We have security measures in place to track and identify attempted malicious activity and will take all the necessary actions to protect the integrity of the community.
I guess you could define independent entities living in the same house as different households, but that sounds awfully technical.
Seriously? Must be a deep scratch, for a PS3 disc.
Must have taken some effort too, since they're coated with Durabis.

They'll only enforce the "one account per house" rule if one of said accounts is used to exploit the system. That's basically why the rule is even in place.

Buyer reported feedback for the trade: NEGATIVE (I have NOT received the product) with the following message:

USPS says delivered, but I never got it. Not sure what to do. Goozex support doesn't seem to feel like responding to questions lately, so I'll just get this in the system so they can't ignore me. I realize it is not the sender's fault, but I did not receive the game.
Presumably USPS wouldn't label the package as delivered if he hadn't.
I'd challenge the neg, since clearly the evidence is in your favor that the item was delivered. It's sucky, since this guy didn't get his game, but I don't think there's any way this situation will resolve itself without at least one person getting the shaft on points. Might as well make sure the guy getting the shaft isn't you.
He is probably just worried that his game had not arrived yet and said "NEGATIVE" as a sort of placeholder (otherwise it defaults to positive feedback). You will get your points but it might take a few days to settle.
Sucks to be that guy though, same thing happened to the guy I sold Prince of Persia '08 to. USPS confirmed delivery but he never got it. 1000 points down the drain.

Great. So how do I resolve this?
Because you have delivery confirmation, you get your points. Dispute the negative saying you have proof from USPS that the package was delivered. That's all you need.
So, playswap.eu (formerly goozex.eu) is not gonna catch up on all the movie and retro game swapping that's going on in the US, I'm guessing... I wish more people would use it over here
Also, I have 3700 points, a requests queue of 20000 points and haven't received a game in ages

I've gotten games before the person has confirmed it shipped before.
This happened to me too.

Yeah it's just weird that I happened to get both of them days apart from each other. How many Ruby's and Sapphire's were sent out before that?
Must be fate.
