I've got a pile of old Gamecube games, along with the console itself. Also, I have a few SNES games I'm going to try to sell. I've thought about going to Gamestop or using eBay, but I really don't know what I'm going to get from those venues. Any advice about selling old games?

Another option is http://www.chasethechuckwagon.com , a dedicated classic gaming auction site. I've never used them myself, but their fees are considerably lower than Ebay's.
Personally, I would just put everything up on Ebay. But if you consider yourself a collector, or you have something valuable to unload, maybe go with the chuck wagon.
Gamestop is not going to be helpful for you. I'm almost surprised to still see Gamecube games when I go in there.
