Taking a media blackout on all Beatles: Rock Band charts.
Six days, fuckers.
Maybe you can explain this:
What good does this do? I mean, there are people (main the 'hardcore') who refuse to watch chart videos because they believe that it would taint their hands on sight-read. Wouldn't that border a bit on some kind of mania?
Or is it just that you want to be pleased/surprised/entertained by the dreamscapes first hand? If it's the first, I just find that silly and would be genuinely curious about what causes those thoughts. But the second? Well, I think it's still a bit silly, but I definitely understand that line of thinking.

It's definitely the second.
Maybe kind of the first too, I typically watch Youtube RB videos specifically for this reason, but that's just so I know what DLC to buy and what to avoid. I already know I'm getting this.

Yeah. I only hit up YouTube just to listen to the song (as it is in-game) in another window. I usually only pay attention to the charts if it sounds like/is a high ranked song. (But then, I've said that before.)
I'm avoiding B:RB in general because I already know the songs anyway and will be getting the game at some point yet to be determined.
Me and the fiancee had a thought for Lego Rock Band: a Disney DLC pack. Possibly a Track Pack. Sure, most of the popular Disney movie songs seem more 'orchestra' based, but there's got to be some. Like the obvious one is the Powerline song from Goofy Movie ... that's where we got the idea.
I remember hearing a while back that Disney was either seriously considering or in the early development stages of their own rhythm game, but there weren't very many details available. This might have been referring to the Sing It! series, though.
You know, I would totally bust out "Poor Unfortunate Souls". In my deep manly voice. Except for the "isn't it?" part.

Has anyone else on the PS3 just had Bat Country disappear from the PSN Store on them?

Did you already buy it, by chance?
Or was it part of a pack? I've noticed that when you buy packs on PSN, the individual songs disappear.
Nope, I definitely didn't buy it. When I attempted to it told me there was nothing to buy and now I can't find it in the store.

All of the other videos seemed really slow, I just thought it was Npeaen's recorder making the Cavern Club songs feel slow, but that one has it too.
Well most of the Cavern Club songs are pretty light tempo'd Compared to what is usually in Rock Band. Of course Helter Skelter is pretty fast because...well, it's Helter Skelter.
In RB, the scroll rate is always the same, just the tempo lines show the actual speed of the song. The guy playing Helter Skelter is playing with hyperspeed on, because thats faster than default RB.
BlindPsychic I'm not watching your videos, but the still they used for that Youtube clip makes it look like it's an iPod commercial starring the Beatles.
The pure sightread idea is not that bad. If you watch all the charts ahead of time, you know where all the hard parts are, which songs are easier than they sound, which are harder, etc.
You basically ruin the novelty value of the songs, which is something that is fun to experience the first time.
still hasnt been posted on the official forums but a few sites have this press release up.
EDIT: still not on the forums but it is here: http://www.rockband.com/news/freezepop-jackson5

Wii Additions
Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Talking Heads add an additional five downloadable tracks to Wii Rock Band, joining the already available “Psycho Killer.” The five songs available for download next week span a good deal of Talking Heads’ career, including “Take Me to the River” from the band’s second album, More Songs About Buildings and Food; “Crosseyed & Painless” and “Once in a Lifetime” from the band’s fourth studio album, Remain in Light; “Girlfriend is Better” from the band’s fifth album, Speaking in Tongues; and “And She Was” from the band’s sixth album, Little Creatures. Additionally, singles from Avenged Sevenfold, The Jam, Oasis and Rage Against the Machine will be available in the Wii Rock Band Music Store next week. This brings the number of songs available for download in the Wii Rock Band Music Store to 667.
So I finally learned my lesson last night. Don't ever agree to play a mystery set list because you're guaranteed that the computer will pick the most awful and unplayable songs in your system. I know everyone has their musical preferences, but the original catalog seems to be full of stuff that I couldn't give 2 shits about, and some of those songs are terribly hard to play. "I Feel Pain" is appropriately named, because it's painful every time it comes up. I can appreciate some old school punk but a lot of this is just crap. Some people may love it, but I find myself wishing for a song blacklist feature so that certain songs are not available for random selections. While I do enjoy playing RB2 over GH3 as a game, I find the song selection in the RB series to be so obscure at times that it kills the fun. I've been a musician and a music fan since an early age, so when the game is full of stuff I've never even heard of, I just have to wonder if the devs went out of their way to be "cool" rather than pick fun songs people know and love.
This makes me look forward to RB:B because at least I know I'll like all of the songs, even if some are difficult (or not fun) to play.
On the other hand, a lot of the DLC has been really, really good and makes up for the stuff I dislike. It's the biggest reason I opted to switch to the RB series.
Actually, mystery setlists really are random. Sometimes I get brutal ones, sometimes I get ones that are just cake.
That said, four out of the last seven mystery setlists I played included Green Grass and High Tides. I mean, I kinda like playing the song once in a blue moon, but goddamn.

Also man the sound quality of these early songs are amazing.
Could be. But he's also occasionally skipped songs before.
I really hope they do soundscapes for the Rubber Soul songs, I don't really think they all fit as something being played live.
Maybe for the other songs, but there are three Rubber Soul songs on-disc locked into 'live' locations.
Serious Ringo is Serious.
Is it me or is the scroll speed really slow?
Just on Get Back or the game in general?
Because Get Back is a pretty slow tempo song.
Well most of the Cavern Club songs are pretty light tempo'd Compared to what is usually in Rock Band. Of course Helter Skelter is pretty fast because...well, it's Helter Skelter.
That's one of the hardest drum songs in the game??? I am thinking a Full Game FC on drums is very possible for me.
I have 549 Rock Band Drum and 305 Pro Drum FC's

It's funny, that probably turns up during more than the regular version.

If anyone is at PAX and wants to pick up a medium blue for me, I will love you long time.
