Since I installed Mothership Zeta I'm getting the weirdest bugs on 360. Fawkes now straight up refuses to find his way down from ledges. No matter how short the detour, he just gets stuck at the edge in his rediculous fast running animation, and my character has an enormous left hand. It looks like the Deathclaw Gauntlet, but it changes depending on what I'm wearing.

Fallout 3 is a fickle mistress. On one computer it will run perfectly fine even with a ton of mods. On another computer with all the same stuff as the first and no mods it runs like crap.

Truly it is one of life's great mysteries.

And sometimes it will do both of those things on the same computer.

    Which is really annoying.

Hopefully they will use Id Tech 5 (or whatever number Rage is) in the next Fallout game. Carmack's engines are always rock solid. Since ID and Bethesda are owned by the same parent company, so maybe they could get a discount on the licensing.

I seem to recall an interview somewhere saying that they had no intentions of dropping gamebryo in the near future because they knew it so well and were continually improving it with each game.

    basically they fear change.

    Bethesda. Bethesda never changes.

I was looking over the cast of Fallout 1 & 2. God damn did they have some great voice actors. Tony freaking Shalhoub, Richard Dean Anderson, Keith David, Jim Cummings, Tress MacNeille, Cree Summer, mother fucking list goes on.

Bethesda needs to stop dumping their money into one fancy actor and instead use it to get talent like the above list.

    Yeah, more Grey Delisle please!

is there a list of suggested levels for all these expansions? I know the Pitt for example is easy at level 20, but what level is it best played on?
I thought they all scaled with your level?

yeah? so if I run in to the PIT or Mothership with a hunting rifle/shotgun at level 9, I should be fine?

That doesn't make any sense. The better you know Gamebryo, the more you want to strangle the creators with chicken wire.

Killed my first super mutants, yay! Got some guns and ammo. One of them was a dickwad, using a couple of grenades and then ran away.

People in Megaton have been running up to me and giving me random food. They seem to like me. Also finally bought myself a theme for my home (Science!). I'd complain about wasted caps, but Moira has 'em and I can always trade her shit to get it all back.

    Also did The Family stuff.
Finding a peaceful resolution was a little too easy! I'm wondering if I should take the offer to 'learn their ways.'

Learning their ways nets you some cool stuff I think, I'm pretty sure I waltzed in, sweet talked the leader's wife, then mosied on out with Ian.

Maybe this doesn't need to be spoiler'd but,
You can be "taught" their ways which causes Bloodpacks to heal you (+20) instead of just (+1). I think the base value is 20. Either way it's far more then what they are originally at.

which, I found, isn't actually that awesome because they weigh 1 per pack, whereas stimpaks are plentiful and don't weigh anything. Still a perk's a perk for a' that.

Yeah, they're giving that Metal Blaster (9x laser rifle) I got from the Pitt a good workout. It's been a long time since I couldn't kill anything at close range with that guy in a single VATS session.

I like that they're replenishing my ammo though. Shame they're making me burn through stims at the same time though. Oh well - at least the game is fun again. Combat in Mothership Zeta was painfully easy.

If you max explosives a bottlecap mine will blow them up pretty good

Especially with the +60% explosion damage perks

Plus they have like a 50% chance of packing a mininuke in their pockets. I'm actually surprised they don't just throw them as grenades, considering how mean some of the BS enemies are.

Sometimes it feels a bit like a bad mod, packed with unbalanced loot and excessive XP on the enemies. It feels like every room contains about 5000 caps worth of loot and half a level worth of XP and a 50% chance of having a unique item.

    I love it.

Gather up the armour of fallen enemies, repair it up, and sell it to vendors. You'll make cash pretty quickly, a hundred pounds of good condition raider armour will net you about a thousand caps, and the wasteland is lousy with raiders.

Have you done the quest involving Tenpenny Tower and the Ghouls? I just did it...
... for the ghouls. While all the feral ghouls were doing the killing, I took the keys off of the dead merchants and opened up their lockboxes. When I entered I scarcely had 100 caps and 2 stimpacks to my name. When I left I had around 5000 caps and 30 stimpacks. :D Although this is pretty much strictly for evil characters (get a TON of bad karma).
