Good Headphones for Running?

Hey H/A, I run pretty frequently for about an hour at a time, usually 5-6 days a week. However, I'm a bit of an iPod addict, in that I need it to run. That said, I keep getting bad or failing headphones. So, help me out, any personal recommendations? Collapsible or in-ear preferred.

Steam: erios23, Live: Coconut Flavor, Origin: erios2386.

I love the Sennheiser PX-100 headphones.

Cheap, great sound quality, collapsible, and not in-ear, but very comfy to wear (I also wear mine while running/working out and they have never slipped off).

I use the Sony Funtopia earbuds of some model number, I can't remember which but they're about $25. They sounds good enough and fit very well in my ears. I use them for running and biking.

I will second the PX-100 suggestion, as I feel that it is impossible to beat their sound without spending at least $20 more than their retail. They are incredible headphones, especially at that price point and with that design.

However I find that they soak up a lot of sweat in the foamies and maybe you won't care but I'm weird. I prefer an in-ear or at least earbud style design for exercise. Shure makes some good ones.

I do long runs too and went through this a lot. As you've probably realized, it's likely the sweat damaging your earphones. I just but cheap sony earbuds and replace every three months. Nike? Makes sport headphones with a shorter cord which I like, but the way they fasten is a little weird.

I've got a pair of these nike in ears

They stay in surprisingly well and it's pretty rare that I ever have to readjust them, let alone put them all the way back in. Cheap and fairly good sound as well.

I'll second the Sennheiser suggestion, but I'll recommend the CX300 earbuds instead. I originally bought them for being comfortable while sleeping, but they work pretty well for running as well. You might want to tuck them under your shirt or something, though; they do give some feedback when the cable gets bounced around. They're on Amazon for $21 and change right now.

I have some skullcandy in-ear earphones and they are pretty solid for the $12 amazon.com price:

I'm sure the CX300 earbuds are great, I'm just not sure how much of a difference you will hear while jogging.

I've used this design of Sony headphones for the last 3 years and they're excellent for running. Since the ear pieces aren't attached, you can have more freedom to move around. The clips also stay on extremely well. They're not too popular but I never found a better style.

I have two pairs of JVC Marshmallow Earbuds.
I use them for everything. Casual use, my run/bike exercising, riding on the lawn mower, etc...
They are super comfortable and never fall out. The part that goes into your ear is smooshy like a sound proof ear plug, so they fit in really well.

This happens to my headphones too, I sweat a lot though. I think I use these philips gummy headphones or something

I use these, Sennheiser MX75 earbuds. The "twist to fit" think seems a little weird, but once you get it figured out, thos things will stay in place for hours. They also don't have a super tight fit, which is a good thing when you need to hear traffic or other ambient noise.

I never got those bastards to stay in my ears no matter what I did (short of gluing them there)

I'll support the px-100 headphones. Very light weight and stable on your head. Not to mention they sound glorious.

I'll second this one, it drives me nuts when the headphones get soaked in sweat or don't stay in the ear, I got the MX75s and haven't bought a new pair since.

This is what I use as well, but I sweat significantly more than the average person. I also run often in rainy conditions (weather changes quickly during Florida Summers). If you don't suspect that corrosion or whatnot will be a problem, go with the nice ones listed above.

Those things look pretty cool, I'll have to check them out. I've been using the ones that come with the ipod and I think I've killed them with sweat.

I love the skull candy ear phones. They come with 3 different size "adapters" so they fit into your ears really well. I hate ear buds because they are too big and hurt my ears.
