The only "recreational" drugs I've ever taken would be alcohol and nicotine, so uh yeah...

But I manage to be pretty awesome without having to use other things, so more power to me I guess!

    how nice for you
dont mind if i play some bejeweled while you talk

    That can't still exist.

But really, even as I read it, I know it must.

You know, I'm always really paranoid about cell-phones and the whole radiation thing. I never liked keeping my phones in pockets pressed up nice and close to my body, but a lot of the time I just gotta. Also if I'm going to have a long talk on a cell, I use a headset.

    eh.

I play the North by Northwest card, and the fact Cary Grant didn't know I was drunk far before work called me in for the day. At this point, I'm feeling great toward even my ex=gf, but murdering a girl with a knife would obviously change that! you want me to move off a moving plane? well thanks mother.

Honestly I think the whole straight-edge mentality is a holdover from the age of the puritans. How prevalent are "straightedgers" in Europe? Less common than in the US I'd wager.

There's nothing wrong with being a "straightedger" so long as you do not try to save me from the early demise that I have willingly chosen. The difference between you and me is that you live for the future whereas I live for the present.

It's more a bunch of dipshits seized on a Minor Threat song as a way to live

But no I'm sure that the song called Straight Edge, which appears to hold these things up as a point of pride (it really doesn't in all honesty), by a very influential band, had very little to do with it

Straight-edge isn't a bad way to live but most of the people who self-identify as straight-edge tend to be massive, throbbing tools.

I like a fine drink every now and then, and on the rare occasion I will get a little messy (New Years Eve brings back some vague, fond memories), but I've never felt a burning desire to take any other form of drug anyway.

I'm actually pretty surprised (not sure why) at the amount of recreational drug enthusiasts on this here Internet discussion board.

To be honest the same could be said of a lot of things. In theory (x) is great, but in practice it tends to suck balls.
