I would be down for this - I use Netflix streaming on my 360 all the time, and I know plenty of you on my friends' list do also - so an organized movie night is a great idea. Not sure if I'll be able to make it tonight, but feel free to add my tag to the list of prospective party members (same as forum name).
We had 7 in the room at one point, actually. Some people were just having trouble with the connection. It's not 100% yet, but once the group settled down we were able to watch most of Tokyo Gore Police without any issues.
The people who couldn't connect were the lucky ones.
Holy shit...me and Arikado had our eyes opened...and I've seen more Japanese cinema than your average Otaku. Funny thing is, the chainsaw guy in the beginning looked pretty fucking tame by the end of the movie! Hand cannon FTW!

We started off with a socio-political drama called Tokyo Gore Police, about the dangers of police privatization in modern society. It was decidedly not everyone's cup of tea, but it was a noteworthy piece of cinema that will stay with those who watched it for a loooong time.
We decided to follow it up with a lighter fare by the name of Free Willy, about the dangers of inter-species mating, and pedophilia.
It was great fun. It seems that we need to start these things on time, as addition of extra people to the room pauses the movie for everyone. Also it seems that we cant have rooms filled too much as people lose connection often. We had 5 people in the room and things were smooth as butter.
Also of note, the film-makers that grought you machine girl and tokyo gore police have a new movie out. Trailer is very NSFW:

Thanks for coming along guys, I had an absolute blast! I think I'm going to trim the queue a bit. I don't know if I could do with another Troma-esque movie for the next movie night, so I'm pushing Machine Girl back and we're on track for Primer next. I need to check my schedule, since I work strange hours and travel a lot, as to when, exactly, movie night will be next week. I am sorry I missed the night I ended up having an unexpected guest and he stayed a lot longer than I had planned on, so I will be up for this upcoming week's for sure.
It could be that your connection quality goes down pretty quickly after it loads up. I've had that issue with Comcast and their "super speedy download (for the first 15MB)" thing. Of course, some things are just encoded for streaming in a crappy manner.
So, what the fuck is with the Netflix activation bullshit since the Lvie update? It asks me to active the 360 every fucking time I launch Netflix. I've poked around online and can't find any mention of it happening to anyone else. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it wants a blood sacrifice. Has anyone else had this problem?
I missed this last showing...went to the theater to see Ponyo with the kids! I'll catch up on the next one...Primer didn't seem interesting in either case. I think we need to stick with 'fun' movies that are either bad or action filled...something that we either talk through or make fun of MST style. Getting any kind of 'serious' movie will likely bore us to death. Besides, I mostly avoid those types of movies myself.
Edit: I'd throw in any Asia-Fu movie from Chan or Yeoh, say Rumble in the Bronx or Silver Hawk!

I picked Wednesday because of my work schedule - I work weekends and Wednesday is the first night I get to stay up late after sleeping in. If you guys want to pick different days and watch stuff on the queue, that's cool. Let me know what you guys watch so I can remove it.
I just tried watching Lost and...it looks like ass. Like really bad. Worse than the quality of the DVDs, and this is at three bars. :?
I mean, I have the DVDs anyways, so it's not a huge loss, but still...I was expecting near-HD quality or something, I guess.
FWIW I watched it on my PC and it looked easily as good as the DVDs if not better. Only Season 4 though, I dunno about the earlier ones.
It must have just been my connection at the time, because everything I've watched since then has had great quality. Certain things (including Lost) have had HD streaming as well.
And by the way, Enchanted is an absolutely wonderful movie.

On my TiVo, I get bets picture quality for Netflix, and the same for the odd time when my Xbox works with Netflix.
