Poltergeist horrified me as a child. And I loved it.

OH GOD HIS FACE IS COMING OFF

OH GOD OH GOD WHY DID THOSE CHAIRS DO THAT

OH NO THAT SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING

I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THIS AGAIN

My mother was horrified that my dad would let me watch movies like that.

Though movies have been frightening, I remember playing a game called Clocktower: The First Fear around '97. That was the most bone-chilling experience of my young life.

Know what scared the shit out of me when I was little? E.T.

Specifically the bit where the kid first finds E.T. in the bushes and they both start screaming. I was terrified of aliens for a while after that.

I was horrified of that show 'Gargoyles' as a kid. I remember my parents took me to Disney on Ice, the theme that time being some weird conglomeration of all sorts of Disney productions from the Lion King to Toy Story. And there it was, Gargoyles on Ice.

Needless to say, I spent that five minutes of the program crying like a little bitch.

E.T. was pretty creepy at first.

Did you guys know that in the scene in Alien where the alien bursts out of the guy's chest, those are genuine reactions? The cast weren't told about it.

edit: Gargoyles was pretty cool, but it was too dark for my young little self to watch for a while.

Yeah, I had heard that about aliens, so fuckin' cool.

Also: Gargoyles was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. Until like season 3 or 4 or something when they changed the animation and went crazy with the plot.

Gargoyles was wicked awesome. But yeah, season 3 sucked, the original creator wasn't involved anymore for that season.

I remember seeing Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when I was quite young. The bit with the bugs freaked me out.

hello artist corner fellows I am here to ask for a favour. I need to do an inside cover for a demo, standard jewel case size (142 mm × 125 mm × 10 mm) with contact details and such but I don't have any art software whatsoever and even this incredibly basic task is beyond me. I'd normally ask mully but she's super busy. If anyone is able to help me out shoot me a PM.

Every one of them. That era was a little late for me, but I still know all of them. The Biker Mice from Mars SNES game is a fuck-awesome isometric racer.

The Double Dragon cartoon was shit, I think DD V was based off of it. However, I still have a VHS tape around somewhere of me beating Double Dragon 2 with a Game Genie from when I was 5 or 6.

I was a big biker mice fan. I remember Mighty Max as well. The other two I don't really remember though. I'm not sure Street Sharks was ever even really aired here.

I have fond memories of the old Disney cartoons. Darkwing Duck and Ducktales and such.

I did, at least once. Then I spent the next several years questioning my sanity because nobody else knew what the hell I was talking about when I mentioned it.

This was one of those cartoons that I saw exactly once, got hyped up about it, and then it disappeared.

And if any runners know why my left achilles tendon is so inflamed, let me know. I have the feeling its my new shoes, because it started when I started running with my new shoes, but I need to know whether I should break my shoes in more or to modify my shoes somehow to stop the irritation to the tendon.

hahahaha, I never knew that. Damn. Now I want to watch that scene again.

My friend and I were just watching some movie, a drama, and she told me that the director didn't feel that the young 8?9?10? year old seemed convincing enough in his anguish...so the director yelled at the kid about how he kept screwing up the scene, until the kid genuinely got weepy.

Also, I hated Freakazoid. I'm not entirely sure why. I think he was just completely too obnoxious for me, hahaha. I loved Darkwing Duck and Ducktales though. I think I briefly watched Gargoyles. I thought it was okay, nothing amazing. Animaniacs was fantastic, though.

Man, the alien in Alien was kind of lame. At the end, Ripley defeats it because it was taking a nap. A nap. This alien goes around eating people with it's many mouths, lurking in the dark with it's phallus head and being impervios to fucking everything. And bleeding acid.

And then Sigourney Weaver kicks it's ass without pants on because it wanted to curl up and take a nap.

    Super lame.

Also, good news. If you use enough italicized words in a post they mean nothing.
