The only thing I *don't* like about this demo is how tight the camera is on batman. It's mildly nauseating / disorienting and can be hard to keep track of what is going on around him.

Every aspect of the gameplay is a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to playing the full release.

What? Did they change the look of Quinn in this game from one outfit to another or something?

    You didn't see the pictures?

I'm assuming you know what TAS Harley looks like.

I didn't start paying attention to this game until the demo came out.

I know Quinn is different in the game than from the way she originally looked; but I guess I interpreted what was said to mean that they had one outfit in this game, and then changed it to the current one...?

    edit:

Oh I see. People don't like the Quinn in the game because she doesn't look like how she is "supposed to look?" Bah.

Well he said right before that he's never seen TAS.

And Harley Quinn was created specifically for TAS.

She's been around in the comics ever since though, so she's about as established as a lot of the other villains/characters (including the ones that the shitty movies fucked up). Expecting her to be sultry and sophisticated is like expecting Riddler to be an angry brawler...

I just find it a horrible character design period. Then again, except for a few exceptions, I find the entire art of the game to be horrid.

Not really. I wrote Batman off a long time ago, I was pretty much overdosed right after the first Tim Burton movie came out. It wasn't until Batman Begins that I became interested again.

Look at her bio in-game again. It took a LONG fucking time for her to show up in the comics after being introduced in TAS. What's scary is that I really can't picture the Joker without her anymore.

(Ledger in the nurse's outfit is close enough for that to not count to the above hyperbole.)

Also, I can kinda/sorta see when the game goes from cinematic to actual gameplay, as some of the effects disappear.

I wonder if the cinematics/animations will change when you knock out all the cameras and monitors. After all, you can destroy the cameras, so that has to be some kind of thing in the game -- these guys had to have played Portal, after all.

Played it on a widescreen 1080p set. It's just too tight when running down narrow corridors and such. The camera wasn't so bad that it turned me off of the game, it will just keep me playing for shorter amounts of time. Otherwise I'll get a nasty headache- it's happened with other games with bad cameras like Ghostbusters or Shadow of the Colossus.

    Oh well. Fun demo regardless!

I rarely run. Grappling/walking dramatically is so much more fun. I'm sure this'll change in the full game, but for now I just enjoy walking and seeing what detective view shows me.

I can't think of any time where it's been established that Harley and Ivy have actually had sex, or even really truly implied beyond a joke here and there. There are some lesbian undertones, and Ivy is a hedonistic person who would probably do it, but I'm not sure if they're actually lovers.

If anything, Ivy would totally do her but Harley is too wrapped up in her Joker lust to really notice or care.

It's definately been established that Ivy hates Joker, especially when it comes to his treatment of Harley. The triangle between them has always been something I wish BTAS or the comics had explored more.

It's implied both in BTAS and in the comics. I don't think they've explicitly shown anything though, unlike what they've done with other characters (like Renee Montoya).

My favouraite B:AA takedown would probably be the glass one. Though roping an enemy and then cutting him down to fall on another enemy comes close.

Fantastic use of the UE3. Looked fantastic, ran super smooth (I still thought it was a prerendered cinematic untill I was actually in control ) and it didn't feel like I was playing a UT mod or tc like most games that use the UE do.

Probably because the FMV is basically just output from the game engine that's been recorded. Except worse because of the compression artifacts (and much lower resolution depending on your configuration).

I'm sure the only reason they use pre-recorded footage instead of realtime is to mask the load times.
