Just go somehwere else to buy it. I went to Wallmart this morning because they open at 8h00am unlike most other stores here (usually 9h00am). There were already a few people that passed before me and the clerk in the electronics store couldn't believe people were all over that game. You should go check your walmart, futureshop or EB games if you want the game today.

I was worried about pre-ordering from amazon as I'll be at work all day, but I got an email this morning saying it had been shipped. When I checked the fedex tracking number it said it's already in town and out for delivery! The game should be waiting for me when I get off work.
Good thing I checked this thread. I was about to order the game at Best Buy when I heard about the dvd and giftcard deal. I'm not usually one to praise Best Buy, but I was able to get the dvds and gift card shipped to me (for free) and pick up the game in store, all from the website. Nice.
Well, after reading reports of the disappointing Batarang and the fact that Amazon.ca apparently didn't get any copies of the CE in stock I cancelled my preorder and just got home with my nice cheap $40 (technically even less after employee discount) copy of AA. Time to fuck some dudes up.
Came back from TRU. The first thing the game vendor asks is "Batman right? PS3 or Xbox?". It's amazing how these guys just take a look at me and just "know". And no, I wasn't wearing a Batman shirt or anything.
Frankly, I'm surprised how easy it was. I showed my printed rewards card, got the $30 gift card, used it toward Dissidia, walked home.
Anyway, I'm going to commit to this game, but probably in a slower pace than the rest of you. I'll probably avoid this thread per spoilers.

Thank you all for the warning about the CE. Here's hoping Gamestop lets me change over the money to a regular edition today and actually has enough regulars left over for me to pick it up today :? Damned shame. The entire package seemed pretty awesome. For as much as it is though, to just be a cheap plastic batarang? Blech.

Blu-Ray disks can fit way, way more than DVDs, so it's to cut down load times. It's not really a big deal, you get a big hard drive anyway, and it only takes about 20 minutes tops.
