A couple days ago a friend of mine whom I helped move out of his apartment gave me a pair of rechargeable Nyko battery packs for 360 controllers. I'm quite sure they're fully depleted as he told me that he'd never used them and they'd just been sitting in a drawer for I'm not sure how long.
The trick is when I put them in the controller and hook the controller into the 360 to charge the pack the little indicator light on the end of the cord that's going into the controller will quickly wink on and then off again. I'm pretty sure the packs aren't charging because as soon as the cord is unplugged they won't turn on the 360 when I hit the power button on the controller. I know my USB ports work because I charge my wireless headset with them, even my rechargeable Wii controller batteries.
I'm not terribly invested in the Nyko packs. I've been using rechargeable batteries just fine for years, but I'd still like to know that the Nyko packs are well and truly done before I get rid of them. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and maybe found a solution.
Maybe someday, they'll see a hero's just a man. Who knows he's free.
