A call comes in from the research lab asking the former CAG for assistance with the firefight outside. Using his political power, President Adama launches the alert vipers and personally shoots down 3 more near colonial one with an Authorization of Brutal Force. There aren't any contigencies to use a strategic planning here so we're going to go ahead and roll. 6, with careful shooting, no stray shots nick the civilian ships.
With four raiders down and the alert vipers launched, space is a much more friendly place.

><, I wanted to see how much people could help to see if we should try for check, and then left, and when I got back I played it. What is the time frame that I need to play it in for next time?
Apollo, Starbuck. Quite a bit, but I can't spend too much if you want me to be able to defend these well.
On this note, this crisis activates Heavies so the raiders won't fire this turn. They could fire on Zareks turn but there are 3 unmanned vipers in your way, so they would have to roll perfectly to kill all three, and wouldn't even touch you.
Also, a heavy raider is going to board this round, and we should kill it quick. Potentially there could be 5 Cylons moving that centurion which is... a lot.
><, I wanted to see how much people could help to see if we should try for check, and then left, and when I got back I played it. What is the time frame that I need to play it in for next time?
Before people contribute is optimal. There are just too many "gotchas" if you can IC after people throw in cards. You're always free to leave contigencies.
I guess next time I'll mention that people shouldn't contribute until Starbuck/Chief respond so I know if we should IC the check.
In any case, since theres no IC in play, the two hidden cylons can now play their tactics cards, and we have sabotage from one Cylon currently (Jones) and could have two more, I suggest those who are human to contribute a good amount.
Edit- Also I just did Destiny calculations, the DD should be against us, so we have that to worry about too.
I'm leaving work now and I'll return on Monday. I will try my best to post to keep the game moving along, but I can't make any promises. I'm going to be driving 8 - 9 hours tomorrow to St. Louis then spending a nice weekend with my girlfriend.
Sucks though, since my turn is literally coming right up. I'll try to get on tonight before I head to bed, but I do have to pack and stuff before we head out tomorrow.

President Adama didn't have as many cards as he thought he did on account of that water shortage, he still submits two. Visiblehowl did not report in for this check.
Autom Zarek draws a piloting and an engineering. He asked for a substitute, but I forgot to get one for him. However, this is pretty much a perfect storm moment to play this super crisis. Bend over boys and girls, here it comes.
Zarek moves to Caprica and plays his super crisis.
Massive Assault
1. Activate [Heavy Raider] [Basestar Attack]
2. Setup:
1 O'Clock: 2 Raiders, 1 Heavy Raider, Basestar
3 O'Clock: Clear
5 O'Clock: 1 Unmanned Viper, 2 Civilian Ships
7 O'Clock: 1 Unmanned Viper, 2 Civilian Ships
9 O'Clock: Clear
11 O'Clock: 4 Raiders, Basestar
3. Special Rule: Power Failure: Move the fleet token 2 spaces towards the start of the Jump Preparation track.
1. Activating Heavy Raiders.
A Centurion advances on the Boarding Party track (2/5)
Two heavy raiders move from 3 to 5 O'Clock.
Activating Basestars.
Basestar 1: 8, a direct hit! Weapons control blows up in a shower of sparks. Luckily, that section was being repainted and no one important was injured.
Basestar 2: 3, the shots are absorbed by Galactica's thick hull.

Just as planned.

That doesn't sound good
I wasn't talking about non existent in-game mechanics when I said I would throw you into space.
I'll go NASA on your ass if you fuck this up.
YES IT IS.
!ACTIVATE OPG OF CAG
Fuhrer Adama, what are your orders? You can make your own rolls with invisible castle if you want.
I'm human born and bred.
Use 2 activations to launch 2 vipers in 7. Move one of the vipers to 11 (requiring 2 activations). Shoot at a Raider (1d8 = 5, Hit)
I must meet with the Quorom and Authorize the Use of Brutal Force in a crisis like this. !Activate President's Office
!Play Authorizatoin of Brutal Force to destroy the last 3 Raiders in 11 O'Clock
If we could do this strategically, that would be excellent.

It's a bit late for that.

Glad to see nothing major happened in my absence. I can only throw in one card, but it should help a little towards the check.
Valkun, can I get a hand refresher?
Given that Destiny is negative and possibly 4 Cylon contributions, I suggest that Starbuck place a lot as well.
Sucks though, since my turn is literally coming right up. I'll try to get on tonight before I head to bed, but I do have to pack and stuff before we head out tomorrow.
