Can't remember the name of some philosophical thing

It's the idea where people stop existing as soon as they leave the room - basically that things only exist if you can see them or feel them. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it well. It's kind of like solipsism, but I don't think it's quite the same thing.

Sorry if my post's really badly worded, and thank you if you can help.

Based on a quick perusal online, it sounds alot like metaphysical solipsism.

Not quite what you're describing, but object permanence?

Are you talking about what some babies go through in their early life?

phenomenalism? I dunno, that was a guess and it doesn't sound like it fits really. It was just a related article on the wikipedia page for empiricism.

Seems like some combination of solipsism and idealism: the only things that exist are perceptions or bundles of perceptions (idealism) and I'm the only perceiver (solipsism), so everything ceases to exist when I stop looking at it?

Esse est percipi (To be is to be percieved)

Sounds very close to Berkeley's views, and his view isn't really solipsism since he does believe other things outside an individuals mind exists, he just thinks god holds it all together.

Hmmm... just going by your dudes' Wiki links, I think I'm thinking of a combination of subjective idealism and solipsism. Thank you, all.

We got taught this in third-year Indonesian. Basically, our tutor said, "What it means is... does [Cyvros] still exist when he leaves the room?" Damn, I miss Indonesian.
