Man so much of this stuff on MMO-champion just seems like fanboy wet dreams. Thrall as the guardian of tirisfall? Tauren paladins? Old world revamped, flooded, and opened up for flying?
I'd love it to be true, but so much of it seems contradictory to what Blizzard has been saying and working up to that I would be extremely surprised if more than half of it is. And the storyline information beyond "LOL deathwing and azshara" (which is the only part I think is a definite) seems completely ridiculous.
I never said anything about next-gen necessarily. How do you change the current old-world content without fucking it up entirely for current old-world characters?
If they wanted to, I guess they could introduce a shitton of phasing. But areas that have phasing enabled tend to be more of a drag on system resources.
That's kind of the point, isn't it? Re-Vamp old area's....physically change the surface of Azeroth.
Besides, consider the fucking badass Live Event they could have.....
So you're in favor of them destroying already-existing content in the game which took them years to make?
If it means all the starting zones will become as good as the Draenei/Blood Elf starting zones, then YES.
Yeah, that "leaked" information is bullshit. Thrall giving lead of the Horde to Garrosh? Really? Asshole is about as levelheaded as the fuckers we murdered over and over again in Hellfire Citadel.
I've never understood why Garrosh hates the alliance anyway. He's been in outland all this time with no contact with them whatsoever besides maybe the alliance expedition. Where the hell is all the xenophobia coming from?
Some the race/class combinations seem okay, but others like dwarven shaman, don't make much sense to me.
Wildhammer dwarves are shamanistic.
I thought they did not want Blood elf warriors due to how Mana tap worked now that it's removed with arcane torrent being reworked I still don't see them giving blood elves the warrior option because pop that and free instant rage
I can see Thrall as a member of the GUARDIANS of Tirisfall with Medivh's mother Aegwynn, Jaina, and a use for some of the idiots, Mr shits in the woods, The blood elf rogue junkie, and other losers from the comic

He thinks they are losers with King Douche bag leading them since in Warsong hold he saw the deserters
It does read a lot like made up absurd fan wishlist, but I'd love for them to be doing something like this. Essentially a whole expansion of Battle For Undercity Awesomeness but without the back to normal afterwards.
The whole putting Garrosh in charge of the Horde sounds like a terribly contrived excuse to bring back full out Alliance vs Horde warfare. If it's true I expect something very pvpish as a result.
I'm also expecting Sargeras to be the endboss of the next expansion. Just a hunch.

The main problem of all the leaked information is how much stock you want to stick in MMO-Champion. I'm not saying Boubouille is infallible, but the site's track record for announcements is quite impressive.
The SA post nonsense: don't believe it, don't like it
Likewise.
Cataclysm happens to change old-world: don't believe it, don't like it
I'm down with the idea; if you're going to revamp the old world might as well have it play into the storyline.
Old-world changes: don't believe it, like it
I'm very down with the idea, and I believe there might be a kernel of truth to the idea, as it would be fulfilling fan requests to allow flying in the old world and to make the old world suck less.
New classes for races: believe very little, like even less
I believe it, but mainly because it would even out ones choice when you faction switch. (If the current belief that you change race when you do it is accurate). Though I don't think we've seen the full extent of it. (I'd be surprised if the Horde wound up with twice as many druid races as the Alliance.. unless worgen are druids I guess..)
The main problem of all the leaked information is how much stock you want to stick in MMO-Champion. I'm not saying Boubouille is infallible, but the site's track record for announcements is quite impressive.
They've put up datamined/sketchy information that turned out to not hold up later on.
Shit, I'm pretty sure they were one of the main proponents of the "WORGEN ARE NEW ALLIANCE RACE" rumor back before TBC came out. I still remember the shitstorm that happened when that turned out to just be fanfiction and all the fansites that had printed it just quietly brushed it under the rug and acted like it never happened.
That's why I'm so dubious: the fact that worgen are again being fingered as the new alliance race makes me think of that, and makes me think whoever did it before has cooked up a whole new crock of bullshit to feed us and the gullible people are eagerly lapping it up.
There is a very very important patch between now and cataclysm in relation to lore. So we have a small chance Garrosh will be a decent character instead of the hating-humans-for-no-reason-180-from-TBC personality he has now.
And if they do anything to make a new Guardian of Tirisfal, they might as well pretend Warcraft 3 never happened.
And why the hell would malfurion stormrage be doing it? The guardians of Tirisfal were a high elven creation; the Night Elves didn't even know about them until WCIII.
Unless they meant medivh, which is even dumber because he's Very Dead™.

Is he? I thought the last we saw of his he was still alive, just choosing to "take his place amongst the legends of the past" which I guess could me he would go commit suicide or something, but I really doubt he'd do that.

•Siege weapons and destructible buildings will be added to PvP
We really did not get that many siege weapons untill recently {I don't know I have not gone to the new battleground} We did not get that buildings to smash they even took away a type of them in the latest patch
•More hero classes will be added in the future
I don't think they are going to add any more because Death knights are a tempest in a teapot of a mess
But that link is as vauge at the contents on the back of any video game box
The leak everyone is talking about is a book in itself

I am well aware, I am merely providing an example of something that was posted on MMo-Champ that was mostly true. That was the easiest example. Additionally, the two points of contention listed in your post were still announced with the expansion by Blizzard.
Aye, that list is pretty solid, through and through (and a helluva lot less detailed than the Cataclysm one, just sayin'). At the time of its release, Blizzard still intended for there to be a number of seige vehicles (hadn't even cut the WG planes yet) and for there to be more than one hero class.
Some the race/class combinations seem okay, but others like dwarven shaman, don't make much sense to me.
Eh, Wildhammer dwarves maybe.
Dwarven shamans are one of the combos that do make sense to me, actually.

Regarding Medivh, I think it's not too far a stretch that his return for Warcraft 3 was the equivilant of a soul not being able to enter their final rest because of unfinished business, or just general unrest. Which is acceptable as far as I'm concerned.

What about Medivh?
I know his mother and :rotate:son:rotate: are still around
It has all of the trappings of a fake leak: take stuff that people accept or are more willing to accept and glue on ridiculuous shit. Fake leaks usually end up explaining way too much (like how a liar will go out of their way to fully explain something when someone who isn't lying would just leave it be) and thus end up accidentally making holes in their story, like the whole Stormrage coming back to do shit with the Guardian, Thrall becoming the Guardian when Halforcen's kid has been fingered as the Guardian for a while, a new Druid race only on the hordeside, Worgen breaking Blizz's silhouette design rules for character races by having a humanoid form, Garrosh doing something as harsh as murdering Cairne without either Thrall or Saurfang (Saurfang swore he'd cut down Garrosh if he was being a douche) getting pissed and/or the Tauren as a whole getting pissed off and leaving the horde (Magatha would definitely use that opportunity to take over the Tauren in some way and disconnect them from the Horde so as to start her Grimtotem plans of conquest), why make Azshara a 10-20 zone when the Barrens is right fucking there and was just revamped as well, and the whole "levels will mean something now" condesending bullshit line. It's just so full of holes I can't see how anyone believes it.

Pretty sure Aegwynn brought him back from the dead. Only minus Sargeras.
Also, I like to pretend that Med'an doesn't exist. Fuck it: the Warcraft comics in general never happened, okay?

The first one is in place in Wintergrasp, and was expanded in the new BG. There aren't a lot of them, but there are enough that you can't say they weren't there. There were a couple more vehicles in WG at one point, but the air and anti-air ones were apparently scrapped for balance issues.
They have said they plan to add more classes. DK's current and future status not withstanding, they've repeated that claim a few times, they just never gave a timetable.
As for the race/class combinations already discussed:
Human Hunter: Nathanos Marris was the first (and so far only) human ranger.
Undead Hunter: Nathanos Blightcaller, the same as above only undead now. Still has his pet hyenas. Sylvanas also compares closest to the hunter player class.
Night Elf Mage: easy one, the Highborn return in some fashion. Night elf society has changed a lot since WC3, I guess exposure to other races that have no fear of arcane magic has softened their old taboo.
Blood Elf Warrior: They always had warrior units in WC3 and NPCs in WoW, just playable now.
Dwarf Shaman: Already mentioned above, the Wildhammer clan has shamanistic roots and worship the same Earthmother as the tauren. They were merged into the Ironforge faction some time ago.
Tauren Paladin: Of all the non-paladin races to start an order of paladins, the Tauren are the one I think fit the bill the best, especially among the horde.
Tauren Priest: I dunno really - somebody on MMO-champ points out that NE priests and druids both get their power from Elune, the same could be true of Tauren priests. I think it's more likely that priests and paladins came hand-in-hand and when the paladins set up shop, they brought priests with them.
Orc Mage: They have warlocks, so the capacity is there. You could chalk it up to horde contact with the Kirin Tor (would also account for Draenei not getting warlocks, there's been no friendly contact with a faction of warlocks ever).
Dwarf Mage: Weren't they in beta anyway?
Troll Druid: Almost every troll boss in the game is a druid anyway, as a race they obviously are pretty adept at the whole shapeshifting thing.
The odd one out that's a bit hard to explain either way:
Gnome priest: For a race of soulless lunatics seemingly bent on self annihilation by increasingly hilarious acts of engineering and magical incompetence, I guess it's inevitable that they find the Light eventually. It's either that or extinction at the beak of El Pollo Grande the rate we're going. Wilfred Fizzlebang may have been the last straw.
A few sites did a sort of scoreboard counting the hits and misses in the rumormill for Blizzcon when Wrath was announced. It'll be interesting to see how much of this one pans out.
The only class combo that sounds absolutely absurd to me is Troll druid. Since that would mean that Trolls would inevitably get a Moonglade presence, and don't Night Elves hate Trolls?
Tauren paladin seems out there too, but then again the door has already been opened with the whole Blood Elf stuff.
I'm taking that entire list with a very heavy grain of salt. But the one thing I can really get behind is the whole changing of the world stuff. One of the problems with some MMO's is that the world is always pretty much static. All of the old world stuff still looks and feels the same as it did when I started playing 4 years ago. It's why I get a kick when the occasional world event comes up and shakes things up, like the ghoul invasion and the like. Having something where: *potential spoilers just in case*
Orgrimmar gets destroyed and a brand new capital is set up? That would be pretty dang awesome to see happen.
It would even help alleviate the pains of playing an alt if the same old content ended up getting a few new coats of paint here and there. A lot better than the current "Oh hey brand new zone and quests and plot! And.... oh, looking for Mankirks wife in the Barrens again, yay...".

Yeah we one-shotted vezax like a bitch, that nerf hit him hard.

Also zero deaths on Vezax. Nerfed HARD.

They also said no to moving PvE chars to PvP servers and faction switching.
You know, if that race/class stuff is accurate, I bet it's to enable faction switching, so you can change you NE druid into a Troll druide.

Is wow now the mess Battletech was?
I really don't like how that ended up
wowwiki hasn't been updated of that fact then.
This was their WOTLK leak post. Please provide an example of where they've been completely wrong about something.
Also: their News for this version of the site only goes back to after BC's release, so I cannot refute the Worgen accusation.
