Meh okay week I guess.
We've got
Wolfenstein on the HD platforms / PC! Raven-developed, based on the latest iteration of ID Technology. Looks like fun, bu will it do enough to stand out from other FPSs and WWII-based games? Looks like fun, but I don't know if it'll stand out enough. We'll see.
I
think the new Monkey Island comes out for the PC this week but I'm unsure.
Last but certainly not least is the first big "metroid"-style action game on the XBLA, as
Shadow Complex comes out for the digital distro system this week! Looks fantastic. Must-buy!
The
Raven Squad game sounds interesting (360 and PC game), as it's supposedly a mix of RTS and FPS... but I've heard nothing about it besides that...
Not much else this week; hopefully the digital distro games will be good.....

It looks like a good, solid, fun game, but I haven't seen anything about it yet that just screams to me, "This is awesome! Here's why you should buy this ASAP!" But I've seen plenty of things that have made me go, "Huh, that looks like fun, I should get that at some point eventually."
Also I never got into the RTCW multiplayer. No idea if this game will have anything like that either. But I do know the main draw of the last Wolf game was its multi.

Roughly 30 hours to go until Shadow Complex hits...not that I'm counting or anything...but yeah, it's the game that threw me over to the edge on getting a 360, so I'm sure I'll love it.
It's on Wednesday? What the- why the- when the fuck did Xbox start putting out games on Wednesday instead of Tuesday?
Pretty sure it's been that way ever since I got my 360.
Also, I didn't realize the new Wolfenstein game came out this week. I know almost nothing about it. I seem to recall podcast chatter indicating that it is an open-world game? Anyway it'd take a lot to get me to buy it this week, what with my backlog and also Shadow Complex coming out.
My Backloggery
Wolfenstein doesn't appeal at all, it looks like horrible imagination starved rubbish half heartedly retreading the same ground as Return. "Sub-Prey" would be the best way to sum up what the quality looks like. Regardless it seems odd that there hasn't been much build up for it.
Hell, I might even pay for it.
That's about the only thing I'm getting. I might check out the Shadow Complex demo depending on how big it is.
You mess with the dolphin, you get the nose.
That's how it works. One a month.
You mess with the dolphin, you get the nose.
Still not really going to bother with it for at least a year, I suspect.
My Backloggery
It's actually been more like a month and a half, so I'm feeling overdue for my next fix.
I decided that I'm going to wait to see how the MP community is on wolf before jumping. Or if gogamer has it for a good sale
