What's your actual ATA at? Because online if your ATA is under 500 you won't hit crap when you get to super hard. The only way I was able to hit anything with my level 65 Humar was if I equipped daggers or something else to boost my ATA to 500+. And that was just for the first three areas.
Are slicers the only weapon that uses your magic stat rather than attack? I still feel plenty strong with the Caduceus staff.
Every Force weapon uses MST for its attack stat, be they canes, rods, or slicers. This has the frustrating effect of making Newman Forces better meleers than the human ones because not only do they have a better attack stat, they also have more accuracy. I think the only place they suffer is in defenses, and let's face it, every Force is going to be squishy to functionally equal degrees.
They do not have better accuracy. Force accuracy in general is worse than the other classes, and the newmans have the lowest of all. I have 40 ATA, 2 Hero/Hits, and like 5 hit materials on my fonwearl, and I still miss things on hard moderately often. Super Hard will supposedly turn that often into super often.
PSO reflex. My bad.

Forces had lower ATA in PSO as well. RA > HU > FO for ATA, still true in PS0.
Are my AI partners every going to be doing acceptable damage for the stuff you fight?
-Humar lv 23 and I'm doing 40's-60's with my Kurtana while Ogi/Kai/Sarisa are doing 8's- 13's (I'm doing all the work)
Well I'm going through the game, besides its obvious faults wrt controls, it is still quite enjoyable. I rolled a Fomarl, as soon as I picked up my Heart Slicer things really became easy, because at range the controls aren't much of an issue. Slicers have ridiculously quick hard hits for the 2nd and 3rd attack in the chain and they can hit more than one enemy per attack. I've ground that sucker out quite a bit, it's at +32 and I'm none too sure of what the cap is for grinding, but I'd love to give it another level of Heart once I hit it.
So far my 3* Slicer has outclassed Zonde, Barta, Foie and their Ra equivalents each of which are at level ~6. It had +40% vs. Beast so the first time I meet up with the Octodevil I killed him super fast; so quick, in fact, that I earned the title for clearing him in under 60 seconds. So I guess the thing to do as a Force is to ignore your attack techs altogether, barring a few obvious enemy weaknesses.

Nope. They'll never do much more than that. At level 70 they've finally moved up to 20 for me. Gonna break that 30 barrier someday! They're just meatshields to distract the enemies so you don't get overrun. You'll be glad they're there when the huge enemy is focusing on them while you take out the annoying helpers that shoot you with lasers or foie.
Hoverboard Spinning Shooting robots of doom Ive only found getting them stuck on walls to kill them -I hate the moon-
Well those enemies suck anyway. Everyone hates them, they're probably the worst enemy in the game because no single class can take them out easily. They're impossible to lock onto, they really make the camera "shine", and they love to drift over into the area transition so you can't attack them without a gun. Those enemies are the reason I refuse to play that level unless it's absolutely necessary. Even in the tower I hated them. They were more annoying than the rooms where I'd get two Arkzheins with traps everywhere.

At absolute best right now I'd hit around 420 : (
But I'm building up both a pure hit and pure magic mag.
Level 12 Megido spam has actually become theoretically my best pure damage option though, if I'm willing to tear through the PP. Especially if I use Megidolaon to group everything together and then hit them all with Megido.
A little help here? I've gotten to lvl 24, but I haven't been able to do a three hit with a slicer. Could someone let me in on what I'm missing to make my FO just THAT much better?

Hit the button a third time? The timing on the slicer isn't difficult at all.
You need to hit it before it starts returning.

Just inflicted a 2,644 damage strike today, managed to top my list
Bazookas have some of the highest ATP values of any weapon class, but it isn't that much higher, and single target non-combo means they... kinda suck. From what I've seen. Equipped a random five-star one to try it out, and while it didn't do near as much damage over a given time period as my other weapons, it seemed to make targets flinch more and for longer and also knock them back a pretty fair amount. The photon art was a sort of bazooka-fu which I enjoyed. If I find a decent rare one I'll grind it up and play with it.
Gave up on the FOmar I was trying to play, opted instead to play the RAmar and am absolutely loving him. Using a carbine and just comboing from afar, dodge, then combo again.
Anyone know the trick to add more damage with a gun blade. Thought you could shoot while you swung....
Oh fuck you PS0. You know goddamn well I'm looking for better weapons and what do you give me? You give me the Gigas Romulus which can only be used by newman hunters and forces.

There's a bug with gunblades and mechs/handguns, but I won't go into that here because it is dumb. What you may be thinking of is the slash-slash-shoot combo. It works exactly like it sounds.
I know a dude with a FOmar who is doing about as much damage as a humar with his twin brand of whirling doom. Wish I rolled one, but my slots are full.
I have defeated the tower, but at what cost? I have lost my sanity in exchange for treasures. What do I have to show though? Just some weapons with bad %'s, a mistranslated Claimh Solais, and a femini soul. Was Super mode really worth it? Was it worth losing my humanity? I wonder, but more than anything one question nags at me. A question I can't escape.
--Edit--
I would be down for a game or two now if any of you are, but I feel like I'm fast approaching level nub compared to you guys. ;P (Level 42 is me ATM.)
Oh my god I must not never go into the tower on super again until I have better armor. I was getting destroyed by those stupid Arkzheins and big smashy guys from the dark shrine.
However! I lucked out and Blade Mother showed up and I go a Mehrennenka with a PA and some %'s in accuracy and dark. The accuracy is a little lower but it's a 100 ATP upgrade from my Jasper Roars. I'll have to add an element to it. I'm pretty partial to stun I have to say. I'd like if it would help others so do you guys like stun? I find that the 3 seconds or so that they're electrocuted is useful in doing damage or getting away.
Stun is awesome, I was a big fan of draw in pso, but since you can't force the special effect anymore I am preferring stun.
It's hilarious how it just freezes them in whatever animation frame they are in.
Also whats your guys opinion on HUnewearl's? High evasion, and a shield seem like a good combo.

Stun is probably the best. I spam Lightning attacks before I get hit in hopes of getting away unscathed.

At 70, the enemy speed is definitely increased. It's like the difference between Hard and V.Hard in PSO. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that floors 70+ actually being "Super Hard" is pretty much confirmed.
huh, icejade hulse shield has a +5 ice mod on it, with just a small modicum of luck you can chain freeze whatever you are hitting so it can't fight back. If your not so lucky it seems to still freeze every other hit.

Really not liking the way the game plays on Hard and Super Hard. It's basically an entire game of Ultimate Mine -- nothing ever fucking hitstuns. From the biggest badmutha to the fucking snow bunnies, hostiles just wade through your attacks as if you were a warm spring breeze. Very goddamn frustrating. Even Monster Hunter, where you MUST respect the fact that the monster is ten times your size or you will get steamrolled, has solid hitstun mechanics. This stun-when-I-feel-like-it bullshit needed to stay in the worst stage rehash of PSO.
I think it follows the same rule of PSO and PSU(?) in that enemies will only get hitstunned if they aren't in their attacking frames. I think it's supposed to make you time your attacks, but it's kind of hard to do that when you have 5 bunnies swarming you and you can't even hit them because your accuracy is only 520 and not 800.

No, the rules have changed; in this enemies can bust out attacks whenever they fucking feel like it. Either that or their attack wind-up time is considered to be zero because even in PSO's Ultimate it was possible to keep enemies at bay far better than you can in even PS0 Hard -- except for Mine, where the enemies just don't stun and act the same as in all of PS0.
I also really don't like how almost all of the attacks have no tells whatsoever.
Oh, well I've gotten used to it as a hunter by now. I can usually tell when they're going to attack and I can roll or just take the hit. I just sort of sense it coming. The robots are a crapshoot though. They have absolutely no tell and you're guaranteed to get hit at least once. They're completely unbalanced.

Things were tough at the start then I noticed that FO weapons use MST as my damage stat apparently.
I started beating things down with my wands/rods instead of using techs to great effect.
Then I found a god damn slicer.
Now I am currently in a period of easy mode, I can kill everything at range including the octo and dragon bosses now.
Still having crap luck at finding any techs. I have my 3 elemental techs at level 2 but I still need to find shifta/deband and resta
