How do you get acess to new fields for multiplayer? i'm high enough level the three you start off with have turned into cakewalks, i'm assuming for single player you need to play through the missions..but since i leveled enough in multiplayer the single player missions i have are so easy and boring i can't bear to do it either =/

If one of your friends has unlocked the other areas, you can go to them, I'm pretty sure.

It's single player, but once you beat the game once you have all the areas available for every difficulty in multi.

but..the single player is so boring i had no intention of ever beating it D:D:D:
You might as well just beat it on normal though. Suck it up soldier! You probably won't want to try for very hard mode though. I hear you have to beat a 100 floor tower on hard mode.
You know, I really hate the choices you make in story mode. It's like no matter what you choose it's wrong.
"Do you know a lot about mags?"
> Yes
"You're lying!"
No I'm not Sarisa, I fucking know about mags. My mag is level 73 and I've raised a ton of them in past games. Do not tell me what I do and don't know Sega.

The trick Malakaius and I discovered earlier today for that boss: Wait until they get in the center and unleash some kind of Photon Art that hits a wide area. You'll hit every weak spot. We would each do like 400 damage when it did that.
So I can't get this right now, obviously (I'm being good and not spending any cash on myself 'till after the holidays), but am I correct in thinking this is more like PSO than PSU was? Because I loved PSO and I would not object to having a portable PSO-type game. (I skipped Phantasy Star Portable because it seemed to be a port of PSU, so I don't know whether that was any good or not.)
This is pretty much PSO-Diet. It's basically PSO with a dodge button and lock-on system. It has some limitations due to the platform that kind of suck when it comes to setting up multiplayer (It seriously needs the mail system), but this is really close to PSO.
Cool, thanks Gilder. I'll definitely keep this in mind for after the holidays. I probably put hundreds of hours into PSO on both the Dreamcast and Gamecube versions.

You know, I completely forgot about Photon Arts... I'll bet they might make the game a little easier.

They're pretty handy, and you can charge them up while attacking normally as well. I like to charge the attack on my strong attack button and attack with light attacks while I wait for the enemy to get in position. Then I just let go of Y and attack because I've already gotten past the charge time.

Did you remap your buttons at all? I have mine where Y is light attack and B is strong attack.

This isn't on topic as such, but it shows you A) how dumb I can be and how often I visit the Playstation Store: I was browsing demos there out of boredom via the Media Go thing and just noticed that there was a free demo for Phantasy Star Portable. Which has been up for a very long time. Yeeeah.
I'm still more interested in Phantasy Star Zero, but at least now I can waste some time with the demo for the other game.

I'll be up for some online after I get off work at 8 Central. I've already added everyone in the thread.

Boo.
but..the single player is so boring
From what I heard it takes a few days and most people just put their DS on sleep mode.

High traffic for PSZ perhaps...?

It took me three days to finish the tower the first time, and that was pretty much at two hour intervals at a time.
Its very very monotonous but the last boos has an extra form and has a chance to drop a few 7 start items that are pretty cool.
Hard Mode to unlock Very Hard.
Whenever both people are online at the same time.

Also, what stats should I focus on for my RAcast's MAG?
Maybe a little Acc.
