The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
if I ever get netflix going again I am thinking of renting some ducktales now that it's actually being released
one episode I distinctly remember is them going underground to meet what were basically this race of rubber ball people
Yep, they were creating earthquakes or something and Scrooge's money bin was losing money, so they went under the earth and had to challenge the rubber ball people to some kind of rubber ball people olympic games and beat them in order to get Scrooge's money back.
Writing that out just now, that premise sounds incredibly stupid, by my god what a good show it was. And I can't believe I remember that given that I haven't seen it since it in like twenty years or whatever it's been.
Also, Sesame Street is the shit, and thank god I have it to show my daughter to at least give her something other than Dora the Explorer to watch.
My little brother was absolutely obsessed with Pengu as a kid. It's like Mr. Bean with FASD for kids...
We have a bet going on that if he doesn't still watch that shit when he's an adult he owes us $20. He is currently 19 and I'm pretty sure he still throws in it from time to time.
Does anyone have a clip of the Sesame Street with Indiana Jones? That was a rad episode. He had to try and steal Snuffleupagus's golden cabbage or some shit.
Or the one where one of the apartments catches fire and the muppet has to escape via the ventilation system always scared the hell outta me.
Polago, I am sad that you don't have your avatar anymore. How have you been? Besides starting threads about shows that I never watched because I had a lame childhood.

I've seen some of that Pingu before. It is fuuuuucked uuuuuup.
But Sesame Street is awesomesauce because it does stuff like this:
Did anyone else find it weird that Kermit was the only Muppet to completely cross the Sesame Street/Muppet Show boarder, as if he were some kind of ambassador?

Ever seen Muppet Family Christmas? It's a big Christmas special that has Muppets, Sesame Street, and Fraggles all together in one show. It's awesome. Animal makes friends with Cookie Monster, etc.
I got to do a presentation in one of my university courses on the history of the show and its origins (basically as a way to give inner city youth access to a preschool education). I was SO EXCITED when I realized that it fit perfectly with the requirements for the presentation. I got to show clips from the show and ended up getting an awesome grade.
Also, seeing stuff like the Friendly Giant again is really bizarre.
There's a french canadian show where three colour clay blobs go about adventures. Two of the blobs are complete dicks to the third who's slow and torment him half the show. Great for 5am though!

That is because Kermit is the best muppet of all time.
I stopped watching the show long before Elmo came along and became the "star" that he is today. Going to sesamestreet.org since having my daughter and watching her enjoy the same skits and things that I watched when I was her age is a surreal experience. Every segment we watch has me saying "holy shit I remember that!" in my head. Because I would never say "shit" around my daughter.

Muppet Munch is the best.
The best Histeria thing was the Shot Heard 'Round the World.
I think it is you who must be stopped.
There are chickens in the trees...
I put it on the Muppets, easy

The best part about that brawl is you'd have the best commentators of them all: Statler and Waldorf.

though I think the Muppets hold up better when you watch as an adult
Speaking of which? Did anyone else watch that old anti-drug PSA with the Muppet Babies, Winnie the Pooh, Ninja Turtles, Alf, and Chipmunks?
It was a wasted opportunity in creating something really awesome, but it did it's job in giving me nightmare fuel as a kid.

Well this was pretty much going to be my contribution to the thread

At least not on purpose.

Art Attack created creativity in children
Last month when I was in Shanghai I saw an episode of Art Attack translated into Chinese, it was pretty funny
