Just got an iphone, what is worth checking out?

I hear there are some real gems among the stinkers on the app store. So far I've bought MGSTouch and Peggle. What are the real must-have games for the iphone?

I did a search and saw nothing so forgive me if this is a repeat thread.

    thanks. Quick question - do most games control like MGStouch? Because I was shocked at how well it played.

    Games control differently than that... I mean... I dunno. It depends on the game. Some (Rolando) are tilt controlled, some (MGS touch, Monkey Island) are touch-pad/mouse-like, some have a d-pad (Hero of Sparta, Zenonia), and some are just touch based.

    Spoit's list is good... also add Zenonia (action-RPG), Secret of Monkey Island, Peggle, iShoot (Scorched Earth), Top Gun (Afterburner-type arcade flying), Tiki Towers (think World of Goo), and Archon.

    Doom Resurrection is pretty awesome; controls by tilting the screen for mouselook, which works better than it sounds. Also it is gorgeous.
    Star Defense is classic tower defense done pretty well.
    Hero of Sparta fits that Diablo-ish isometric action thing.

    Also, if you value your wallet, don't go anywhere near the CAG or GAF iphone game threads. They're dangerous
