I can't call myself a Muse fan, because I've listened to only about one and a half albums and I only liked about 1/4 of the songs I've heard by them, but I really enjoy that 1/4.

Also, Dru, thanks for sharing the animation, it's adorable. How did you stumble upon it?

On a scale of 1 to Fall Out Boy, I would say that Muse ranks somewhere between Sick Puppies and Grasshopper Takeover in terms of gayness.

Searched, didn't see any threads discussing the new album at all. I don't want this to turn into a Muse-bashing thread, but I would like to know others' opinions on The Resistance.

To put it bluntly, you really don't get to decide how the thread turns out. Sorry dude, that's just how it goes.

I like Muse! Although I completely forget they exist from time to time, until one of their songs pop up on my zune.

Haven't heard the new album yet. It's too bad that the general consensus is that it's not very good...

Well, its in the realm of possibility that lizard people could someday rule the world and force us all into the Earth's core, but peanut butter can't become untasty.

Matt Bellamy is a wack-job, and his songwriting has been pretty hit-or-miss recently but he's still a fantastic musician. He's also backed by a great rhythm section.

In my Freshman year of college I knew a fat Mexican girl who would squeal like a pig and yell "Muuuuuuse!" every time she heard the band playing (even on her own computer). She started dating one of my good friends in the dorm and nobody in the dorm ever really saw him again after that. I really despised her for unrelated reasons, so ever since I've associated the band with her.
