So it looks like the big studios are trying to block Netflix and Redbox from renting new releases until a month after they come out.

I just started using netflix a few months ago and it's frustrating when you get passed up on a new release, much less not even be able to get it. If I'm going to buy a movie to watch over again, I buy it. If I'm just going to have to wait a month for it to rent a movie I'm slightly interested in, I'll wait 2-3 months for it to show up on cable.

    I just got Gran Torino from Netflix.

    Damn thing had been at the top of my queue since it came out on DVD.
