Newbie question - how are you guys measuring dps? I just look at my melee stats in the character bar and hover the cursor over 'Damage', but I see screenshots of people with their dps showing in other windows. Do I need some kind of addon for a more accurate measurement?
That DPS is just what DPS you do by autoattacking.

Don't get me started on PuG Dps. I hate how, as a tank, I'm interrogated before I can join a freaking Heroic group, who expect me to have Naxx 10 level gear as a minimum, while 9 times out of 10 the ones who asked just dinged 80.
I used to say, if you didn't do 1.5k dps before the first boss, and you didn't have a reason, you'd be kicked. I eventually dropped it because I didn't expect the ammount of people not being able to get that high.
It's annoying as hell when I'm doing 2k damage as a feral druid tank, and we wipe on the boss due to about 2k combined dps from the rest of the group.
I've seen better. Ran a Sarth25 pug a couple months ago -- 2 Hunters both had full Naxx25 equipment ... one was at 1500dps the other 1800dps... I honestly don't even think you can autoattack with that low of DPS...

No you haven't. I'm talking about their weapon DPS. As in a DK doing 180 DPS. Which is less than the DPS on their weapon.

Wow. The only way they could do that is not having any skill for that weapon.

Except that mine is within the realm of reason for terrible people. A DK doing 180dps means the dude was AFK most of the time or intentionally getting himself carried.
Hey, when do I get to use these champion seals to buy heirloom gear? I kinda wanna make a shammy and I really dont feel like saving up that many badges.

Okay I think I am finally going to try and put a serious effort into this game, but in order to keep my interest I need to be in with active members of PA. So...what server should I join and what are you in desperate need of? Or where is the most fun had?
I have no experience with this game beyond getting a character to level 8 probably. So, fair warning or what have you.

If you have a preference for Horde, Shambler Milk on Cho'gall has a lot of active members who, in addition to raiding and doing crazy hardcore stuff, also do stuff like roll alts and kill faction leaders for funsies

And I've seen people that can't even do that much!

bet you never considered that, didjya?
which means getting exalted champion with all of the cities
I think you need to get crusader achi first.
I want to know more PA people on Twitter.
On the plus side, you will have lots of seals by then!

it's not like doing argent tourney is mandatory, it's just a reward for those of us who liked doing the easy dailies for the extra scratch
can still buy heirlooms for badges
the bow is fucking expensive i grant you that, but even so, they cost less badges than champion's seals
only 145 badges total for bow/chest/shoulders
should have specified 'weapons that are worth a shit'
hahah this is me and my brother who have just 'casually' returned to the game!

Ravenholdt, Beasts of Unusual Size, Horde side.
Not sure what their numbers are looking like recently, but I'm guessing they are still going strong.
Resubbing.
Partly because I want to try this game on my new gaming laptop, and partly because I'm really curious to try out these new Paladin changes....
haha no way.
Just do a quick /who Shambler and someone will throw you an invite. Most 80s can do it.
