Transitional Gaming

In where you start with one system/genre/setting then have the characters souls (percentage of their previous stats and skills) transfered to a new character in a new setting.

Basicly, I'm starting with Star Wars, then moving to L5R and finally Shadowrun (where they learn the whole thing was really a bad BTL trip)

One of the major pains is that none of these systems are really compatable. SW (d20) to L5R (similar to WoD) to SR (D6). Another major pain is the fact that besides SW, no one in my group is familiar with any of the other settings (they're all new or, no they're pretty much all new).

Anyway, the thread is for anyone that has tried this idea or done something similar.

This isn't cross gaming (WoD and that Pallidium game whose name escapes me at the moment....) but playing one setting at a time and then moving on to the next once the "objective" is complete.

I'd just make everyone make up a new character for each.

If you're going to jump genres, you should probably just run GURPS.

I would have, but I'm the only math major.
And my Gurps books are all 3rd ed and in San Diego.
