So I'm in the market for a sequencer, and don't have the cash for something like Logic, because I need to get something like this and a new mic as well. Does anyone have any experience with Logic Express? I have an intel macbook pro, so I was thinking about sticking with Apple.
I'm new to the digital recording game, and all I have is a midi controller, so I need some gear and help too.
get Reason 3.0 if you're only looking for a sequencer, or just use garageband. What specificly are you looking for in this sequencer?
well, I'd be doing a lot of midi sequencing. I also need drums. My friend and I can do everything but that, and most of the drummers we know won't work. So something to give us a rhythm for demo quality stuff. Also, I think that I would be working DI sometimes, so guitar modeling is a big need.
seriously, why not use garage band? seems like it does everything you'd want it to do and it's sitting right there on your computer.
what kind of drums are you trying to do? if you want them to sound like acoustic drums, on top of a sequencer that supports the VST instrument protocol you'll need something like BFD (best drum samples I've ever heard).
