Man I don't know what's happening. I have been on at losing streak since yesterday. Lost like 7-8 games in a row already. (solo matching)
It seems like a lot of the players I play against like to hide inside the jungle on my side and gank anyone who came near.
It's pretty frustrating not be able to do anything about that.
Map awareness is a HUGE part of playing this game. Get used to looking at your minimap, and figuring out where every champion is, try and make it a habit. It will help a lot.
Generally later in the game advancing past the river without teammates to back you up is a bad idea. The exceptions are when you don't care about dieing or you are playing a champion with an escape/survival mechanism that can make it through an attempted gank.
Even winning is frustrating when your team should have won 20 minutes ago but they'd rather creep than end the game when you've got 4 heroes distracted chasing your tanky ass down a lane.
Have 2 inhibs down at like the 30 minute mark and I've got 4 of them trying to kill me out in the top lane, I look at the minimap and two dudes are in the jungle killing creeps. What the fuck is that dumb shit.
Anyone up for a game? I didn't even think to check here to get some LoL on after I got my key. Profile name is Stonehouse, message me if you're interested!
Also: I've been in queue for like 14 minutes total now.
I finally find some time to start playing again after a week's hiatus and now the servers are down. Bagh.
So, out of curiosity, what do people feel about Twitch? I like 'em a lot as he suits the playstyle that I find most enjoyable, but I'm not sure exactly how useful he is in the grand scheme of things. I lose more as him than I do win.

Pretty much the same way I feel about all Heroes honestly - he can be awesome if played right. He seems to be a really good finisher, and I've seen people who aren't even playing very well, do well with him.
Like the only other stealth hero, use Twitch to get a numerical advantage over the enemy. The whole point is to get him to stack as much poison onto one target as possible, slow then explode when they are low. Roaming around the map looking for heroes to kill is the name of the game (i.e. enemy jungles).
Finally was able to load this up. Played a few practice games while I learn what's going on, won both games, in the last i had the robot guy and went something like 24/8. Was fun but we lost cause it was 5v4 and we let the game go on way to long and the other team caught up.
Anyway summoner name is Ollo, just playing practice games for now while i get more games under my belt.
Twitch (and Eve) both depend more on how well (or poorly) your opponents deal with the stealth factor. If your opponents can counter your stealth easily, you're pretty much dead weight (less so Twitch than Eve, but still not nearly as effective than any other ranged DPS).
One important thing to know about Eve is that her pain spike skill hits a random enemy nearby. So what does that mean when you run away after she opens up on you? That you're the only one who can be hit, which drastically decreases your chances of surviving. If you see Eve stealth, stay near a crowd of friendlies.
I think they changed it to always hit the nearest target and branch to a random one.
Oh, okay. Still, it increases your chances to stay near a group of mobs. Maybe keep moving so it's less likely to hit you. Eve tends to scare people when she opens up, stuns and does lots of damage, but after that, if you play it smart, she probably won't kill you. If you're laning with Eve, you should have wards up anyway.
Is the most played champion thing in your profile supposed to show your stats or global stats. Cause it says number 1 is morgana with 48 wins, but that's too high to be mine and too low to be global it seems.
I'm really looking forward to this weeks patch, balance is a bit whacky at the moment. Hopefully Malphite and Blitz will get toned down a bit. I could probably list others but I'm lazy.

Ive seen an Ashe in every single of the past 10 or some games that I've played. She's ridiculous. Spammable snare, more range on her volley attack than almost any other character, and her ultimate is one of the best in the game. Oh, and she gets extra gold with her passive. I have a hard time deciding who is easier to wreck with, her or Ryze.
Shes not really so ridiculous, it's just her ult that is ridiculous. A snare that does no damage is nothing special really, and volley is very mediocre. She does have amazing last hitting capability, but Sivir is still the better farmer.
Ryze, while great against pubbies who don't seem to know how his ult works, is not so great against people with a clue.
Call me Time Judas, but Zilean is terribad because he doesn't have enough damage output late-game.
Zileas is incredible, he's a support hero not DPS. You stack cooldown reduction and mana, spam Recall and you're constantly throwing around insanely strong snares/speed buffs and saving somebody every 30~ seconds.

All I'm saying is that I'm not that great at this game, and every time I play Ryze or Ashe I get a positive ratio, regardless of whether the team I'm on is good or not. If the team is good, I'll get godlike quite often. If it takes so little skill to do so well with both of them, then something is wrong.
Well, yes. A lot of people play in pugs. Should there be heroes that are able to dominate so easily in pugs? Don't get me wrong, though, I'm not complaining. I like playing as both Ashe and Ryze.

You'll probably find that any "offensive" hero you'll likely dominate most pugs with. I'd wager you could do the same with any stealther, ranged carry, or decent caster (fiddle/annie). Pugs are bad.
So I've been playing Heroes of Newerth for the past few days, and then I remembered I also got an invite at the same time for League of Legends. First game in, everyone speaks Russian and my team left. Then I quit but I can't get back to the screen that lets me choose games because the game is still going.
(I added everyone as a friend from the op, I'm in as MinionOfCthulhu. Hopefully I can learn how to play in a game where everyone stays and speaks English.)
In the future if your team quits on you type /surrender.
I imagine if you're the only one left you only need your vote for it to work. Last I knew even if the entire other team quits you still have to waste time pounding through the AI to destroy their base, so if you quit you'll still have to wait for the other team to end the game.
This morning we played a couple games, and during the last one we were honestly being outplayed.
Their Teemo was well fed, and 5 levels higher than the rest of us. We took promote and managed to backdoor a few of their towers and inhibitors (they liked to blob gank, leaving no defense) and promoted along with the super creeps. It worked exceptionally well. The aura that the siege units have really goes well with them.
We won the game because they never defended.
They were 18 at least 5 or 10 minutes before any of us were.
The easiest hero in the game is probably Sivir. All you really have to do is ricochet spam creeps - not much need to even worry about last hitting - spam the boomerang at heroes, and hit your ult in front of towers. For hero fights you just have to tag along sometimes to contribute damage but really just pushing all the time is plenty.

Also, I tried Nunu today. I like Nunu...
I've never been as embarassed as when I was 2v1 laning against Nunu and we got STOMPED. HARD.
He seems really good though.
Anyone play? Get on vent!
