The news here last night had a bit on how Wikipedia was going to start cracking down on false edits and gave the example of Ted Kennedy's page being vandalized to say he was dead.

    Oops.

Yeah people tend to get bitter when they see someone famous get away scot free with something they know they would have gone to jail for. Something about equal justice under law. You might have heard of it.

well, I wouldn't call driving off a bridge and then leaving someone to die and not calling the cops for 8 hours a mistake.

The only hit he took from the whole incident was that he was unable to run for president. He got a two month sentence suspended, and had his license suspended for six months. That's pretty fucked up.

edit: but anyway, saying you're glad he's dead is pretty silly, seeing as how he lived a full and healthy life up until two years ago. It's not like it took him early or anything. Dude was 77 and lauded as a hero. Not much schadenfreude in that scenario.

To be fair, that homeless man with 15 years in prison is probably better off, because now he has a place to sleep and get fed.

Also, a pretty good rec center.
