Help recording video on a Macbook with a Playstation Eye

I'm trying to use a Playstation Eye with my Macbook Pro 13", because I want to get some angles that aren't possible with the built-in iSight, plus it's a better overall camera (and I already have one, so I don't need to go out and buy a new camera). The problem is, the default driver software for Mac webcams - Macam - records video fine, but can't record audio, and both iMovie 09 and iMovie HD won't recognize the webcam at all. Which is odd, because I used to be able to use my PS Eye with iMovie HD on my old Macbook White just fine.

Is there a third solution? Maybe another program I haven't tried? Does anybody make video podcasts on Macs? If there's another app I could use that can record both video and audio on Macs via an external webcam, that would be the best option. Otherwise, any advice on using Macam and patching in audio through another source?
