I think the amount of detective work in this game is fine... this could have easily been just a God of War/DMC knock off, but Rocksteady still crammed sooooo much into this game.
We'll see what they do with the sequel where you'll hopefully be out in Gotham.
I would like detecting that encourages the player to go outside of the game. Just doing searches in Google or looking up some passages from books, etc. Like the film Seven, when Morgan Freeman's character sifted for clues about the serial killer in a library.
Maybe that's a little high concept. But I'd like it.
I can see where that would get annoying, though. Like I said, the pacing is really nice as-is, but the side-riddles seem inconsequential compared to you know getting Joker. Some way to reconcile them would be really cool.
I'm at 19/20 Joker Teeth in the Medical Facility. This is the final thing I need to finish all the Riddles. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look? Maybe a list of the corridors in which the teeth appear or something like that?

I'm going through doing the riddles in every area right now post-game, and haven't come across such areas yet.
I've cleared riddles in four...maybe five areas?
I got the Joker edition of the strategy guide, mainly because I am a collector but also because of the Riddler trophy locations, and it said ALL trophies were accessible after beating the game.
I can't name areas, because I'm terrible with that kind of thing, but there's a building in which
two friendly NPCs (guards maybe?) are standing outside of a sealed room filled with joker gas. There are four trophies in this immediate area, two or three of which appear inaccessible because the room is sealed and there's no way to get in. All the guys keep telling me is "we can't get the ventilation system working, the room's still full of gas", etc. The last trophy is clearly visible from the bottom of a staircase, but there's an energy barrier in the way, and the box to hack to disable it is in the aforementioned sealed room.
If anyone has advice on how to get these, I'm all ears. Sorry if the description was wonky.

This one had me stumped for a while too.
Go into the room with the two guards in it. Look up and grapple your way onto the air ducts above the guards. Use the ducts to negotiate your way to the space above them. You will need the Line Launcher to get across to the far side of the room.
Hope that helps.
And I'm still looking for my final Joker Teeth in the Medical Facility. Its the very last riddle I need. I'm at 239/240. Looking for my last teeth.

There's one set of teeth on a catwalk on the north east corner on the north-most room.

One set that I missed until the end was in the room where you hit the ventilation to save...I can't remember who. Dr. Young? Anyway, up on top of the little rooms there, near the fire fly riddle solution.
Some of the combat takedowns are so brutal.
I used it on one of the stun baton guys and broke his arm, took his baton, kicked his legs out from under him and then jammed the stun baton right into his groin.
Geez Batman.

oh god clayface riddle so awesome, first he's the hook guard, then he turns into the warden, and if you keep talking to him he turns into Gordon right in front of you. Game needs more clayface
there are sooo many awesome riddles and information for the hardcore batman fan
really? Right in front of you?
I turned around and heard this weird squishy noise and when I turned back around he had changed into Gordon.
oh interesting, I looked down and heard the noise, looked back up and he had turned, i had assumed i just missed it since i looked down as i was in conversation with him
I smiled SO hard when that happened, what an awesome part.:D
You know what was a great touch with that?
If you use detective vision, he has no skeleton.
Also...
Weren't there a lot of hand prints all over the glass? Like many different ones, clearly made by many people, but obviously made by the one man due to his "special" ability? Or is my mind making things up?
you are correct
oh shit I didn't even notice those last 2 things. So far by far my favourite part of the game.

I cringed the first time I used one of the unlockable throws and Batman broke the guy's leg

Here's how you get into the room your describing.
You can get in there once you get the tool needed to tear down destructable walls without using the exploding gel. You go up into the ducts above those two guards, there's a destructable wall there. Destroy it, and you'll see another destructable wall on the other side of the room filled with the Smilex gas. Tear down that wall with the aforementioned tool and there's the control for the ventilation system there. Just hit it with a Batarang and you're clear.
Won't get to play until Sunday due to being out of town, so I haven't gotten to continue after beating the game. Does Batsy's suit remain in tatters when you continue or has he cleaned up and changed?

I was a bit annoyed when I though Cash had gotten his stumpy armed failness captured yet again, then WTF'd when I saw Sharpie in there. I turn around, hear a squish, and see the Commissioner now residing in the cell, then I realise there's mud all over windows.

They had it coming. Attacking the Goddamn Batman with a stun baton is just asking for a ball shock.
Argh, I can't figure out the Arkham's greatest mystery thing. I've listened to all the recordings twice and I just don't know where to go next.
I was thinking it was maybe Cole, because the tapes mentioned barely surviving an encounter with a green, scaly monster(obviously Croc), as well as talking about swearing to protect the city(cop) and just the fact that he's been working at Arkham a long time and would have met everyone. But if it is him I don't know how to solve the case properly. I also thought the Warden but I don't know where he is.
I was really hoping I'd be able to figure this out on my own, but that's not happening. Can anyone give me a clue in the right direction without outright telling me?
Honestly the only kinda bad thing I can say about the game is that I think the 'hammer button to open vents' is kinda dumb and pointless and should've been done with a single button press. Otherwise though, pure fucking gold.
I'm pretty sure his other arm is behind his back. Holding a knife.
Yeah I asked this same question earlier. The reason he stood out to me was due to use unique character model and face. Right now I'm just assuming he's one of the project leads at Rocksteady maybe, developers love to put little easter eggs about their studio/employees into games.
in the botanical gardens, in the "Abandoned Chamber" (the one where you cant grapple up to ledges)
"This challenge can only be seen by those with a different view on life"
now its obviously
one of the ones where you have to line up the question mark and dot in detective mode, and i can get to a location where the game says i can see both parts, just not aligned
the problem is i cant see anything where the game tells me i should be looking
after this all i need to do is
solve the mystery of arkham

I swear to god if this game doesn't sell enough to justify a sequel I will do a combat takedown on every Xbox360/PS3 owner who didn't buy this.

I don't have the exact layout in mind but when you enter from the top entrance on the map and look right, there's a jump to a platform with a pillar. The pillar has a ridge you can grab and side-crawl around the corner and up into a niche. Part of the question mark is in there and you have to align it with something on, I think, the ground of the platform you jumped to.
If that was less than helpful, I'll boot up the game and do better.
Ok so I've started working on the Challenge maps and the trophies associated with them. One of the trophies is to complete every single one of Batman's moves in a single combo chain. Anyone have a list of what these moves are?
Also, in general when I'm comboing, I run into situations in which all of my targets are down on the floor and I can't quickly get a hit to keep the combo going. Any tips on how to keep a big combo going?

Ground takedown. Keeps combo going, big earner and Bats will jump insane distances for the chance to punch someone in the groin.

Off the top of my head it's: regular hit, counter hit, stun hit, the "jump over the guy's head" move, batarang, grappling hook pull, throw, combat takedown, ground takedown.

Well, where did you last leave the Warden? Maybe you should look around there.
Pretty sure I just killed a man. Did some sort of an aerial leg kick on a dude's face. When his ragdoll hit the ground, his body was face down, but his head was turned around and looking upwards. His head was 180 degrees in the wrong direction.
