Exactly. Though reading this thread is a lot quicker now that every post is spoilered and I'm not going to click on any of them yet. PAX being between then and now makes the pain go away though.

On the Stealth Challenge rooms...are the people near the top going for the medals at all, or are they just trying to clump up guys and blow them up?
I was under the impression you HAD to get the medals, no? Like, you are not ranked on points or anything, so I'm pretty sure you have to figure out how to take everyone out as fast as possible while also getting the medals..
For the trophy "Invisible Predator" is there a catch to this beyond using only silent takedowns? I just completed a predator map using only silent takedowns but I didn't get credit for the trophy. My only thought is that perhaps you must also do it without raising an alarm, which I did. But it doesn't say anything about that in the description so I'm not sure.
Pretty sure I just killed a man. Did some sort of an aerial leg kick on a dude's face. When his ragdoll hit the ground, his body was face down, but his head was turned around and looking upwards. His head was 180 degrees in the wrong direction.

Complete one predator challenge by using only Silent Takedowns and without being detected
Man - I'm not feeling very Batman'ish right now. Got to what I'm assuming is the final room this morning
Joker on his hi chair of bones with two titan thugs and swarms of enemies
I'm able to take out one of the big bads out, but then I just get my ass handed to me. Could be because I'm hung over from last night and having trouble concentrating.
Keep your eyes on the Titans, while dodging to keep your distance from the guys or countering when you have a free moment until you manage to bring down a Titan and use him to clear out the regular guys and pound on the other Titan. It was a bit counterintuitive for me, since I had generally focused on the clearing the regular guys first in earlier, similar fights but with the respawning enemies and two Titans wandering around, it's not possible.

And remember that anytime a Titan attacks you they hit anyone else in their path. Including the other titan. And any attack they use seems to instant stun the other titan, allowing you to run up and pound on them. I found that essentially getting them to fight each other while catching as many thugs in the crossfire as possible was the easiest way to beat this part.
On the Predator Challenge map titled "Invisible Predator" how do I complete the objective to take down 3 guys with a single wall explosion?
I'm having two problems with that objective.
1) I can't even find a suitable wall on which to plant an explosion
2) Assuming I can find a good wall, how do I lure 3 guys close enough to it to blast them?
Also, would a floor count? What if I were to blow the floor out in the control room with a few dudes in it?

As soon as it starts I grapple up to the ledge over the entrance walk left along and drop down. If you've gone far enough you won't be spotted. Sneak along the back to find the weak wall near the central stairs. Go around back, plant the bomb, grapple back up and onto the ledge over the entrance again. You can see the wall from there. Fire off a Sonic Batarang, to the base of the wall, detonate it on the guy who checks it out. 3-4 dudes will show up to investigate that guy. Boom.
Bonus points if you get a grate KO on one of the guys who check out the explosion.

That's a really good idea. I was able to get down there and plant the bomb. I was also able to plant a sonic batarang at the base of the wall. However, when I detonate the sonic on the dude that investigates, none of his friends come over. Its weird. They just keep going about their business....
Timing is part of it. If you send the batarang when someone's too close, or detonate when another dude's pretty close, they'll catch on. I find I'm usually throwing the batarang at about the minute mark.
I just realized that when you click L2/LB to use detective mode during Scarecrows segments, you hear him laughing. Thought that was really cool/creepy.
There's so many little touches to this game that really helps to sell the presentation and atmosphere. I can't get over how good it is. It's the first time in ages that I've immediately started a new game right after after finishing it.
Just got the game and I'm VERY impressed with the combat. And this is from someone that thought it was pretty crappy from the demo.
I figured it all out in the first challenge room. First I was just button mashing, but slowly I started to get the flow of it. I love how you actually have to be methodical about things, knowing when and to which direction to attack, when to counter and when not to. Really, really fun combat.

The thing is, the combat is simple button mashing, to a point. It just depends on which button you and which direction you're pressing and when you're pressing it.
And I've unlocked the challenge rooms found in the first demo and I'm playing those... It's like I'll be focusing on two or three guys with hits and counters, then do a combat takedown on some poor unsuspecting sap, breaking his arm/leg/back then moving back to the flow of normal combat.
Also, I'm at a turning point in the game
I just rescued the Warden and imprisoned Harley. And now the Lunatics are roaming the grounds. They're just not as fun to play with. I mean, Counter, Ground Hit, down. Please tell me the normal goons make a comeback. Please?

You don't spend much time fighting lunatics. They are really just in that one chapter, and then sparsely scattered throughout later. They aren't a big deal.
Not sure if you've fought them yet, but there are dudes with knives and dudes with stun batons which require slightly different tactics to take down.

oh, yes... those guys.
Yeah, luckily I had already been working my cape stun move into normal combat before those guys required it. And they both show up in the Harley "boss fight" on the electric floor. Mainly I want guys that take more then two move to finish off.

Naw, there's a great combo move that's X + Square on PS3. It basically flips you over them and punches them in the back all in one fluid motion.
You mean the instant takedown? Yes,those are great. Usually stun guys eat batarangs and then I break their arms/legs/face.

So on the map, there are 3 question marks all near each other. One is part of Arkham North, the other two are Arkham West. They're riddler statues, and 3 of the only things I need left. I don't know how to get to them though, and it's driving me fucking nuts.

first room I got down to 47 seconds, 22nd in the world
the last stealth room I seriously lucked out in many ways and ended up getting 1 minute 27 I think, 6th in the world
well on ps3 anyway

I believe a score with medals is always superior to a score with less medals, no matter what the times.
Like 10 minutes and 3 medals > 47 seconds and no medals.
Don't worry, it was The Owl.

I see only Modern Warfare 2 as a challenger to beat AA for GoTY, and really that would be a crime.
Especially since AA is such a unique game and MW2 is going to be...MW1 with more levels...
Uncharted 2, Dragon Age, and Brutal Legend?

Assassin's Creed 2, even though I was sorely disappointed by the first one I won't lie to myself about it being a contender.

I took out one and then sprayed the gel. A large group came to investigate. They probably regretted it once they were exploded.
It's really getting me down.

Got all the Riddler challenges/Spirit of Arkham stuff, collected all the trophies/bios and all the upgrades...
...but I'm still only at 89% completion. :?
Is there something else I need to do for 100% completion? I really want that damn trophy now.

Yeah each bat trophy in the Challenge room is a couple percent. You have to PERFECT the game to get perfect night. No half assing it.
